So I’m on day 12 since sprouted. Got the shade screen to put up this weekend since the sun is so intense in az. When should I soak my plant? I’ve been watering to keep soil moist, but haven’t totally soaked the plant in water yet?
Can anyone help me with the water question in my thread? Thx
I just up potted mine from a solo cup to a 7gal fabric pot. I wouldnt do a heavy watering until shes a bit bigger. If you look on mine, i only water just around the outside of the plant. Everytime i water, i make the circle just a little bit bigger.
Dang! That sucks! Should be ok though. Maybe the shade screen will deter them.
Does your plant take full sun all day long right now?
Im sorry for not fully explaining the water technique earlier lol. But the reason for watering in small circles, slowly making the circle bigger and using a little bit more water each time, is to ensure the roots reach outward and truly fill the pot up. Once your roots have found the edges of your pot, you can fully water them to run off, they should be big enough by then.
Thanks for the advice! Yes, it sprouted and been in full sun since. Doing the shade this weekend, hopefully that will help.
Are you in az?
I’m definitely seeing 10 leaves total now. I put a tray with water under my plant to get some humidity since it’s so dry out here in AZ.
Well, I’m trying grow an auto flower indoors for my first time. It’s a hybrid, Bruce banner. I’m using 40% fox farms, 40% coco coir, and 20% perlite in my mix. It’s almost 5 weeks old, so I transplanted into a 3 gallon fabric pot a few days ago It’s growing, has 22 leaves, but it’s so small, about 3 inches tall, lights are 24 inches above the plant. I’m using a 600w led grow light. I’m also adding mother earth, 1ml per litre of water, which is half the required amount right now. My bottom 2 leaves are partially yellow, and the 2 leaves above had slight yellow on the tips. It had not spread to any other leaves. With the 3 gallon pot, I’m having the challenge. I watered it, in a circle around the plant, but the top 4 inches of dirt is dry, but the below 4 inches is still moist. How do handle these issues moving forward. Help please.
I forgot to include that the humidity in the room is kept around 50%, temp 74/79 and a fan running in well ventilated room
At this stage you should not be adding anything to FF soil. You are probably seeing some burning from too much nutrients. Until the plant shows signs of needing water, let the soil nearly dry out and then water to saturation then repeat.
So here we are Bruce banner auto update. Were
about 6 weeks of growth. It’s getting stigmas all over, but my plant is only 5.5 inches tall. Why so small?
I’m giving it mother earth super tea. ShouldI be adding anything else besides that when watering.
@Kat3 hey I wonder how did these turn out? You have a picture?? Just curious. I’m growing Bruce banner auto also.
