I have some questions about cloning. I veg a plant then a week or so before flip i cut clones let her recover then flip. I dont have a mother plant. Should i do it with a mother plant or can i continue to clone the next generation i plan to flip? I dont clone anything that isint growing healthy. I did read somthing that said cloning degrades the quality of the plant over time? How much time or how many rounds of cloning befere degredation begins to happen?@BobbyDigital @imSICKkid @Underthestairs @dbrn32.
If you maintain a super clean environment and sterilize your tools I’ve heard of people keeping a clone line over a decade.
I tried to link Hellraiser’s journal on cloning. I highly recommend you do a quick search for “Hellraiser cloning” it’s a long thread but had invaluable information in it.
You can pull off broth tips that won’t reach the top and clone them easily. And you could keep doing that down the line. I’m not sure how many times cloning a clone is viable based on the stress it passes down. No where near enough experience to say for me
You can keep cloning if you want.
@Hellraiser i cant find the info spoke of. Can you chime in on my cloning question?
It’s a possible outcome in long term cloning, not so much that the repeated cloning causes it, but rather that clone mothers can get diseases and viruses over time that makes them not so healthy. Maintaining a clean grow space and cleaning tools before taking cuts and avoiding bringing in unknown clones (which can bring in disease and viruses) can help that not to occur.

@BobbyDigital @Underthestairs @Hellraiser could you have a look at the pics above and let me know if i should chop her yet?
I don’t see much clear… so you could. But I don’t see much amber… so you don’t have to. What kind of buzz are you looking for?
Somwhere right between couched but energetic a bit lmao
Then I’d say your getting really close. You’re probably looking for around 10-15% amber on the calyxes
That’s exciting
Yeah I’d give it more time if you want a little couch. Cutting some light hours has helped mine start putting out that amber.
@BobbyDigital i have other plants at earlier stages in the same space. 1 earlier plant under the same light. How will shorter light hours affect the younger ones?
Yeah, just let it amber to your liking under your current light hours then.
I like to see a few ambers at least so I’d go another week.
@BobbyDigital @Hellraiser this is another one that im not too sure about. I see a bunch of amber bit a lil clear also. I was told somwhere i forget that not all trichs will go cloudy or amber some will stay clear. Is this true? Can i get your opinion on this one also?
I think mabe some of the clear are on the newer growth but im not sure
The clear ones may be the result of a foxtail. Without seeing the full plant I’d say cut er down
She is foxtailing a bit. No major long ones but the tops have small tails on them even the lower ones farther from light. She has very lil green leaf left. Mostly yellow and purple. Does that help without pic they are in dark until 5pm newfie time.
I won’t make a guess without pictures! You’re super close
