No problem my friend, like said up there alot of folks use self watering bases and autopots and have success. But for me with living soil its almost like you want just enough water to keep her moist but not to the point of runoff like you do in coco based grows, now I can only speak as to what I have experienced first hand so maybe Im wrong, but just research some about it and I’m sure you will find out the pros and cons and all the technical aspects to all of it, I only know what its done for me. good luck my friend.

I use use airstones in my self watering bases. Im careful not to use nutrients that will clog the wicks. I top water every other day 2-4 cups per plant with yucca and Azos and Mycos and a tiny bit of molasses and humic acid and sometimes a little bit of kelp meal.

I have inoculated white clover as a cover crop.

Now I’ve noticed it was a bit to dry say bang in middle of air pot so I’ve spent the afternoon smoking on a few zuggys while slow watering the top so it’s perfect now so yeah every two days I’ll do that as well as the bottom watering trays

They are autos and had a right hard start in early life but the plant I put in the living soil is ok so I ain’t fussed tbf I’ll run her into flower and have a bit of fun
