I’ve successfully hatched chicks before in a Styrofoam incubator so I know about rh all too well. I have a nice sized dehumidifier.
I’m hoping to be a very attentive grower. Keep records so when I do make a mistake I will know my history and I won’t find myself doomed to repeat it.
Somebody before said it, but I’ll repeat. It’s addictive!
Two is perfect for a 4x4. I grow Super Monsters so I can fill it with just one plant. More than two its going to hurt your crop. Especially with Photoperiod Sativas.
It is very addictive i have 4-6 more weeks on my current grow and already thinking what I want to grow next.

I missed the fact Sativa. My photos are indica. Had the space for a couple photos
I’m already planning my summertime grow ![]()
I live in legal state so going to do some outdoors and some in the tent.
ADDICTIVE
2 plants in a 4x4 common that’s a lil over protective I’d put 15 plants in there all day but I wouldn’t try it for the first run if you do you will learn y the hard way… when growing in close quarters u gotta he preventative on fungus and disease n pest controll
Hello and welcome!
Looks like you have a good group of followers already too. I see you are growing in 4x4 tent with two mars ts 1000, and looks like you have most of the stuff required to get started. If there’s anything specific you have yet to purchase im sure the team will get you great recommendations.
Don’t worry too much about size of your tent right now either. You could grow 20 plants in there if you had to. 2 is a good number to start with though. You will be a little weak on light to fill the whole tent anyway. Then you will get a chance to see how the plants develop through the different stages.
Let us know if we can help with anything and Best of luck moving forward!
Thanks so much! I’m thinking of getting at least another light panel. I’ve read here that the plants love light.
So I’m going to try to give them what they need. I am convinced I’ve come to the right place for seeds and help. Thanks so much!
You sound like a wonderful wife and I wish you all the best of luck. I hope you’re able to help your husband with his pain, and I hope he is grateful for what you’ve done for him when you do!
@JB00. You are a warrior. I am on my first grow mostly for my husband - he is not in good shape and won’t see a Dr. I personally can’t handle THC but want to grow some high CBD plants in the future . When I saw how much he was spending I thought “I can do this”! More power to you! Everyone here will help you.
Grand daddy purp, indica dominate stains for pain. Some hybrids for daytime mood enhancement. My 2¢
@R0ck thanks so much! I really try to be a good wife even though I have my own issues. I hope he is grateful too. ![]()
@JaneQP it’s good to know I’m not alone in this new endeavor, helping my husband’s terrible pain. I can’t stand to see him suffer and since murdering him to put him out of his misery is the farthest thing from my mind growing him some pain relief is the best thing I can do for him now.
@MrPeat I have chronic pain myself in my left knee because there is very little cartilage in it. I’ve had steroid shots, a series of painful and pricey gel injections and nothing has worked to stop the pain. Sadly most days it feels like it is 100 pounds. Coupled with sciatica as well. And to make matters worse for a good while now my long usage antidepressant has stopped working and I’m dreading going to my doctor and playing “Let’s spend lots of money while you go crazy trying to find a new med to help you stay moderately sane”. I hate that game!
And the cherry on top? I’m going through full blown menopause. Hot flashes, major insomnia every night, crying jags and horribly dignity depleting incontinence which leaves me full or anxiety and dread to go anywhere while having to wear adult Pampers.
I’m also the sole breadwinner for our household because Covid 19 has made my job obsolete. Fortunately I work from home so I can pay attention to my husband and plants as they grow under the strictest secrecy. Like Gandalf strongly advised Frodo “Keep it secret. Keep it safe.” I will read more of your post for advice on not only growing big ass monster buds but strains for pain relief.
@neofirebird thanks for your 2 cents. I welcome all the advice I can get! What are good strains you have experienced for daytime mood enhancement?
@MrPeat I meant Covid 19 has made my husband’s job obsolete not mine.
What are you growing right now? And how are they doing?
@JB00 we are all here to help!
Oh blue dream, northern lights, White Widow, headband, White LSD. There are so many out there if height wasn’t an issue I’d grow sativa stuff but they get tall and I already have tall enough stuff LOL.
Gold leaf, allowed to fully mature, will knock him out for 8 hours a night. It can be excellent soporific pain relief.
@KeystoneCops thank you for your advice. I’m brand new here. How do I make sure it fully matures? And in your experience, how have you successfully grown Gold Leaf to full maturity for 8 hour relief? Please advise.
@JB00 I am lucky about my medical care on one side. Its free. But the price I paid is a high one.
Here you go. I have tears in my Lumbar and rotocuffs.i have 16 pinched nerves that they know of. Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Bursitis, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis and a titled pelvis, Add in my Sciatic and Femoral nerves to both legs are 20% dead as of 3 years ago. Both my calves have Muscle Compartment syndrome. I can’t have kids and I will also wake up paralyzed from the waist down. And a lot more.
So I know pain as its 24/7 debilitating pain but I don’t let it hold me back. When you hear mw recommend a strain for managing pain, now you know if I say it works, it works great.
I don’t want nor need sympathy. I answered the call to serve and I knew the risks. I hate my severe asthma over my pain.
Sorry about your medical problems. That isn’t loving life and I got what you said about your husband’s job being gpne.
I’m not comparing. We all experience things differently. But pain is pain no matter how you slice it. ![]()

You’re many months from having to think about harvest window, and that’s if you started yesterday.
I’ll post some macro imagery of the mature trichome ratio from that harvest that I found effective. I’ll give you the same advice I give anyone looking for a consistent effect; grow out mother plants, take and flower clones, and use the same process every time (once you find one that works.
You might expect your Goldleaf seeds to perform exactly like mine. In reality, it’s very unlikely that any two plants will be similar, let alone identical. I can’t say how uniform Goldleaf is, however, in my sample size of 1 it was good medicine. Hunting for the right chemovar might require you to grow 10 or 20 plants. But once you find the right one, keep it as a mother.
