I have a question on adding nutes back in reservoir. I’m running a 2 tote grow with res. holds 20 gal between all the totes. My question is how do i figure out how much nutes do i put back in res to my 20 gal res? My Tds reading is 701 with ph 5.9 I have a chart from 420 magazine that tells what to do with water level ec {tds) and ph that i follow. When i add water to res i try to match existing tds and ph, when i do that tds flucuates but my ph goes up a point or 2 By the way i’m using ro water . Can’t quite grasp what’s causing this. I think my tds should be higher but the chart says my plants are leeching nutes back to res, tds keeps going up. Thought i could figure it out but i guess i’m not that smart. Any thoughts? ---

If the TDS is rising, the normal thing to do is lower the strength of the rez. You are not running very high numbers so I’m wondering about the whole grow. How about filling this out so that we both can be on the same page. Particularly interested in what nutes and _exactly_ what lights/wattage you are running. COPY/PASTE the below list into your forum post. Answer these simple questions the best you can. If you do not know, or do not use something; Just say so; Or post NA (non applicable) -What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed (photo or auto) -Age of plant -Method: Soil w/salt, Organic soil, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, KNF -Vessels: Type and capacity of container (fabric, plastic, etc) -PH and TDS of Water, Solution, runoff (if Applicable) -PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable -Method used to measure PH and TDS -Indoor or Outdoor if indoor, size of grow space -Light system List brand and wattage/spectrum -Actual wattage draw of lights -Current Light Schedule -Temps; Day, Night -Humidity; Day, Night -Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size -AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier, -Co2; Yes, No If growing Hydro some additional questions: -DWC? RDWC? Autopots? Ebb and Flow? Other? -Distance of liquid below net pot (DWC) -Temperature of reservoir -TDS of nutrient solution -Amount of air to solution Always try to upload a clear picture in white light of any issues you may have to allow the community to assist you. ---

Clones hydro 3 17 gal totes PH 5.7 to 6.1 ph5.7 in tds 650 to 750 Apera 20 HM digital tds meter spider farmer 4000 200 watts currently 12 on 12 044 80 lights on 65 lights off hum lights on 45 55 off vent yes humidifier yes dehumidifier yes co2 no rdwc 1 to 2 in 65 to 67 tds varies air bubblers in each tote Plants look good for 2 1/2 weeks of flower sorry cant get pictures right now lights are off right now ---

Plants look healthy and happy. You look to be at plus 2 to 3 weeks in flower. It’s time to do a defoliation of understory and select fan leaves. Turn your lights on full. The fact that plant is uptaking water and not nutes indicates to me that more photosynthesis needs to occur. That will bump temps too so watch your VPD. Make sure your liquid level is between 1 1/2 and 2" below net pot. I would also start adding silica as it’s necessary for trichome development. I use minimum dose from seedling to harvest. ---
