My Journal Started As One Thing And Went Off The Rails Continued

@Myfriendis410 Nice SCROG unit! I was thinking about using PVC for a SCROG, but wasn’t sure exactly how I would work it. It is awesome to see your design as it has given me some ideas. I have my cloth pots on metal shelves supported by 2’x4’s and aluminum pans underneath to catch run-off. Looking at yours, I realize I could use the SCROG assembly to hold the pots off of the tent floor.

It is not clear to me how you adjust the height. How does that work? Also, what are the SROG table dimensions?

@Medforme, the SCROG is built on two sizes so the half inch slides inside the three quarter inch schedule 20 base. The screws lock it in place.

My actual screen is 24" X 36" to fit inside my box and allow me to carry them without help.

I have been a chronic over-feeder for around 3 yrs now. In over half a dozen systems, coco, soil, ebb n flo, deep water, shallow water, in or out.......

Enough with the past.....here what I do for certain know.

*Additives are not needed, other than a bloom booster, and zone/h202 to keep things clean

*Rhizo as a foliar, and once @ transplant at 2ml/gal

*Canna wants you to pour your money down the drain.

*Plants over/underfed have very similar traits.

*r/o water works but you must add cal-mag, and preferably a higher cal product like....

*Cali-magic....to replace cal-mag+ for the win!

*LESS IS MORE>......... .5 scale for those caring.
***200 ppm of a + b for veg...is plenty....
***400 ppm of a + b for flower is plenty.

***Calimagic/a+b ratio***
150 ppm/200 ppm = 350
100 ppm/3ooppm = 400
50 ppm/ 400 ppm= 450

* 5.8 ph*

* when transplanting....no charge, no double dose, and no flush....just absolutely water to 3o% run off.

.

plants can take extreme amount of abuse, overfeeding and mistreatment
Two runs ago I was feeding around 1200 ppm's and the plants took it without much signs of dislike....

Currently @ wk 4 with 10 strains all being fed the same soup.
@ 500 ppm total max solution.

hope this helps .

I’em going to give you my fle on PPM you can copy and paste to your files

Fertilizers PPM

To discover the ppm of your fertilizer mix, you will require being able to gauge grams
and liters. Come across at the nutrient 3 numbers written on the side of a fertilizer
package, these are the percentage substances of the nutrients in the fertilizer. Each
one gram of that fertili
zer in to one liter of water, this will give 10 ppm per percentage point of the given
nutrient.

Example a 20-20-20 nutrient gives (10 ppm x 20) or 200 ppm of every nutrient for each
gram in a one liter of water.

FORMULA:

Grams of fertilizer per liter = A/B
A = your desired ppm
B = 10 ppm x the % of nutrient in mix or your ppm = C x B
B = 10 ppm x the % of nutrient in mix
C = gram of fertilizer per litter.

So to make create a 200 ppm to 100 ppm to 200 ppm NPK mix utilizing a 13-0-44
ratio of potassium nitrate, a 12-62-0 ratio of monoamonium phosphate, and a
33-0-0 ratio of ammonium nitrate you would work in reverse from your single
P and K basis (it makes it the simplest in this case), and create up the N at
the finish. I have rounded values to the nearest 0.1 g for the following. You
would utilize 0.5 g of potassium nitrate about 200 ppm/910ppm x 44k and 0.2 g
of mono-ammonium phosphate at about 100ppm/(10ppm x 62P) in one liter.

Fertilizers PPM

This would provide you 89 ppm N (10ppm x 13N x 0.5g + 10 ppm x 12 N X0.3g),
124 ppm P (10ppm x 62 P x 0.2), and 220 ppm k (10ppm x 44k 0.5g). 111 ppm is
necessary to elevate the N to 200 ppm level, so we can utilize 0.3g of the
ammonium nitrate (111 ppm/ (10 ppm x33N) to take us up to complete. The
concrete mixture would give away a 188 ppm N, 124 ppm P, 220 ppm K mixture
in one liter of water.

To obtain more accuracy, you require combining big batch or getting an
improved range. You would require to make 10 liter set of the over with
a range that is only precise to the gram. If you blend your own fertilizer,
you can regulate your N basis to meet up your ph requirements, rather than
relying on adding acid or base, which is good. This works for formulating
hydro mixes, as well as for us soil farmers.

Australian 1 ms/cm (EC 1.0 or CF 10) = 700 ppm

For example,

Hanna, Milwaukee 1 ms/cm (EC 1.0 or CF 10) = 500 ppm
Eutech 1 ms/cm (EC 1.0 or CF 10) = 640 ppm
Truncheon 1 ms/cm (EC 1.0 or CF 10) = 700 ppm

FANTASTIC WILL!! Thank you for the info. Exactly what I needed. It sounds like yesterday’s feeding at 710 ppm (1,425 NaCl) was heading in the right direction. I’ll continue with the Cal Mag+ as it’s hand watered coco but drop to 500-600 ppm to finish veg.

Still wrapping my (baked!) brain around EC. Finally able to GROK it. I’ll have to digest the rest later as it’s after 4:20 here now haha! @garrigan62

I would want to see a thriving mature female plant…Not in Coco…but that is another story. I hate Coco.

Not sure what kind of answer you are looking for. I guess I answered as best I could.

Happy growing

Ok I’ll bite . Why do you hate coco @latewood

Wow that’s an Awesome grow you got going on.That pvc screen is awesome very nice design. Wish I could get my plant out in the sun. Anyway great skills you have there. I got turned off by coco when I started my first grow.loss some nice seedlings due to me getting the coco too hot,so I’m sticking with soil for now but I do go to coco I’ll come see you.Very nice plants I’m looking forward to the Jack Herer buds.Happy growing keep those pics coming!

Tagging in @Precious. Not a whole ways back read what garrison wrote. I am using his advice, which works out to just under the minimum recommended package amount.

And @rodri59 here’s my journal Rodri. Hope you like it.

@bluntley420 I’m copying you to my journal because I am unable to move all of this over. Scroll up to Garrigan’s post on overfeeding.

Wow, is all I can say @Myfriendis410! Thanks for tagging me on your journal.

Let me just say that you did a great job on your grow. Great looking plants and consequential buds!!! :astonished:

Jack Herrer is probably my fave strain of all time and I hear nothing but good things about the Gold Leaf (especially for growing it). I’m also definitely going to be growing some Durban and Chocolope at some point.

My next grow will be some auto strains from ILGM indoors in soil. What’s next for you?

Playing catch-up brother. Looks like a happy place for sure! @Myfriendis410

I’ve got 3 little ones that broke soil (coco) on Sunday. One Sour Diesel because the last one was the best tasting weed I’ve ever had, one White Widow because it’s a White Widow! Lol and one Girl Scout Cookies Extreme. All photos. They’re up for their one week debut photo op on Sunday!

I’m allowed 6 plants per household and staggering the grow like this is SO much easier on the back.

I dug into some of my curing GL last night and it has mellowed out nicely and man! is it potent!

Excellent are you able to use it through out the day or is it a resting med?

Well I’m using it during the day AND I’m resting hahaha!

It’s got a good kick and it tapers off really crisply, for want of a better word. You come down in like 15 minutes. Good stuff. Works well on the back.

Beautiful looking grows your putting out @Myfriendis410 !! I just read your grow journal and you got a great system going that probly don’t stop, everything from the scrog setup to the endless rotation . Being more of a beginner I get a lost in the ppm formulas @garrigan62 has knowledge about but I did hear less can be more . Great job! Can’t wait to see the next crop!
