My first grow journal - not a complete rookie, but close

Here we are - the 2 smaller gals are Strawberry Cough, the 2 bigger ones are Super Skunk. I know it can be problematic growing 2 strains at once, but that was part of the rookie mistake(s) I made.

The tent sits inside a lung room that has AC/heat/humidity control - all windows are blacked out as best as possible (considering I live in the 'burbs).

I’m running a 400W daisy chained to a 200W Samsung LED lighting system, 2 oscillating fans for circulation, 1 input fan for fresh air, 1 output fan that will have a charcoal filter attached when we get to flowering.
Plants are in Indicanja organic soil treated with Mycorrhizal Fungi, and the bottom third of the soil is “hot” to encourage root growth. I pH balance the water they get to between 6.3 and 7.0, and go from drench to drought approximately every 3 days (give or take).

I plan to transplant these girls from the 1/4G pots to 7G pots, mostly cuz I don’t want to stress them out with too many transplants.

I’ll probably update this thread weekly with pics, unless something interesting happens.

Thanks all!

Good start. I will follow along.

You’re no rookie sir! I just consider everything I do as a greenhorn to be not right, but I’m learning.

BTW - NL is a fantastic strain. One of my faves!

I’m hoping to love it too. And hopefully 4 of the 7 will be females lol!!

OK - here’s week 3 of the grow. I don’t know why the lower leaves on the Skunk are yellowing, could it be from water trouble? The Strawberry is getting the same water and planted in the same soil as the SS and they are quite healthy, so I’m confused.

Any advice would be welcome!

Here’s week 4. I transplanted them last weekend, and I think they’re looking much better. So good, in fact, that I may try topping them this weekend! We shall see…

Here’s week 5! I did top them last weekend, although I’m pretty sure I was a bit late for the Super Skunk (the tall gals in back). No worries though - I’ll just top the longer branches as they wind up needing it. Overall, I’m pretty happy with their progress.

Week 6, woops!

Week7, I think!

They’re looking pretty good. Probably going to put up the netting this weekend. Other than that, no issues, no complaints! Bonus pic of the cat learning how to grow.

Week 8! I flipped them to flowering yesterday, then I lost power for the next 12 hours :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Oh well, they still look really good. I think the Super Skunk in the back on the left is already starting to show N deficiency common in flowering. I think…

This is Nitrogen, right?

Have a peak at this. Looks pretty good. Are you checking pH?

This is an organic soil dirt grow, so I pH balance the water I give them to between 6.3 and 7.0.

Here’s week 9. Exponential growth, VERY high humidity. So far it’s been manageable, and the girls are looking good and healthy. For reference, those plants in back are almost 4 feet tall.

Full house for sure!
