My first experience with living Cannabis 🌿💚

Maybe the sprout I snapped tap root on is ok, it’s righted itself already

The price of media seems a little cheaper where you are. It can be crazy expensive here . There are brands that sell for $35 for 20ltr. I use one thats consistent in quality and cheap. I really like the chunky perlite and Mother Earth is the brand I use.
Thank you for the kind review of the buds I am trimming. I am learning alot about how much more extensively the plants should be trimmed. These are the limbs from the momma Moonrocks that was a giant outside. The good hard buds are on the last 18" or less of the limb tips.

I’m still trying to figure out how to take a decent picture.

They should be trimmed all the way out to there. None of that other stuff inside is desirable. I am going to be way more medieval with the knife from now on.

Manicured! Those look way nicer than mine. How mine are trimmed and dried would maybe mortify some lol

I try to do a good job on the dry. My drying rooms I treat like big humidors. Constantly monitoring humidity, light breeze blowing, and dark. They aren’t really cured for at least a month. So there is plenty of time once they are actually dry. The trimming takes literally forever. Some get trimmed and put in grove bags. Some will be deleafed and bucked into tote liners. Any larf goes in the freezer. It is a process. I am making progress, although it seems like it will go on forever. I am very grateful. Every step is equally important. From seed choice onward. It ain’t over until it’s over. I’m pretty sure I am going to be here forever when I look at what is left to be done.
Ive recently found that there is access to the Palmer River goldfields. In the NT, Australia. The season kicks off in April and runs through October from what I’ve researched. I’m really wanting to go. This gives me a minimum of time to prepare and get everything in order. I’m very excited about the opportunity.
Now if I can only get all this mountain of weed trimmed. Knocked it out of the park this time… woo hoo

This is my growing memory board lol, I still lift my pots but it’s helpful to see how I’ve been watering, when I fed last etc

It’s just some chalk board Duracell I take a pic once a week and reset the dates & boxes

Tent 1 has 4 clones cut 15th October

Tent 2 has two tiny one week old seedlings

Tent 3 has two mothers

Tent 4 has 4 flowering

Howdy Spots, your plants are nice. They look healthy. What lights are you using in each tent ? Have you seen the Phlizon lights advertised? I use 6 of their 1000watt lights and have very good outcomes. Cannot recommend them highly enough. You are doing good work over there in NZ ! Good on ya Mate !

Hiya Growmie @RightAway how’re you doing up there?!? Thanks for stopping by :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I’m sooo loving the four clones in coco/perlite being fed canna coco nutrients A&B. It’s growing different to how it grew in the premix peat based potting mix I used previously. It’s fascinating how much broader and shorter the plant is. They’re under 150W CFL. The seedlings 15W blurple, Mummies X 2 are under 200W at 20% it’s a Lumatek Attis and the flowers are under the 300W Lumatek Attis, I bought them 2021 and never used until 2024.

G’day Spots. Sounds like you’ve got the lighting correct. Are you metering the lights? I discovered that without the meter I was terrible at guesstimating intensity. The human eye is not a good ppfd meter. LoL I have learned so much since I was blessed to find our forum. It still gives me a huge choff (sp?) when some old head tells me the weed is the best they’ve ever had. That’s what it is really all about for me. What an awesome compliment. It’s happened 3x’s on my last indoor crop. Haven’t released the outdoor yet. By all rights , in full sun, it should be better. We shall see.

I’ve moved a few plants between tents 99% sure it’s safe to do so, if not it’s too late. I plan to flower out my over 1yr old mother plant, I reserved a clone in coco coir to replace her. So two plants under CFL and four under LED 200W Attis from Lumatek

The clones I cut Oct 15th have already almost overtaken the stunted clone from August. Wow. The new medium and nutrition are kinda kicking ass

Oh yes, I see what you are seeing . Me likes it alot. I’ve found big leaves mean optimal growth. When everything is in perfect balance the leaves are big , thick and deep green.
I’m already getting the urge to grow. I’ve still got at least 10 pounds hanging on the stalk. Not having any weed growing is like forgetting to put pants on . I just feel naked.

Hear , hear Budbrother. Its more weed then you started with , yes? You did Awesome, Spots.
I do feel that using the salts is the easy way to high yeilds. It takes a better grower to consistently have high yeilds with organics, imho.
I just follow a schedule with the Jacks3-2-1 or GeneralHydroponics. With organics it takes way more experience to know what the plant needs Before it asks for it. And how to provide exactly what the plant needs. People that can do that , imho are the true ‘expert gardeners’.
I am blessed to grow big colas and heavy plants but I will be the first to admit I do it the easiest way possible.
I’m trading my harvest for a trip to Australia. Anybody want to go gold hunting ?
