Chop & Harvest
As mentioned in my last update, these plants were chopped on 1/7/25 = MP's Hydro A Go-Go - #202 by MP_Grow
Considering it was my first crack at hydro, overall I feel like I did pretty well here. Took around 10-11 days to dry them, and the total bud yield was roughly 18 oz between two plants. Below are the numbers, final tally, and some bud porn 
Strawberry Cough:

Buds: 8.6 oz
Trim: 1.5 oz
Alright so I was super excited to finally crack into this plant and see how well I did, given a lot of the setbacks I dealt with in veg. Surprisingly towards the end of the grow, these buds really swelled up nicely. Along with that, the smell was absolutely intoxicating with strawberries. Pretty sure there may have been times where I’d be drooling like Homer over a donut… It smelled so dank! That seemed to follow through to curing. Smelled this all over the tray tent, hands, etc and it’s been one of the more enjoyable trim jail sessions that I can recall 
NYC Diesel:

Buds: 9.3 oz
Trim: 2.0 oz
Alright so I just mentioned the SC being dank as hell… and then came the grand finale - the NYC Diesel. Whoa. Granted I’ve smelled some diesels in the past, but this one just hit the senses differently. Granted I smelled a gassy-grapefruit aroma while they were growing, but the amount of pungent dank air that filled up while trimming these girls was absolutely stunning. My wife came in after work one day and could smell this from the front door. Super potent!
So I’m curing with 8 oz grove bags for each plant. Feel like I really lucked out in a sense that I was able to utilize just one bag for each plant… although with both yielding over 8 oz in buds, I had to bust out a few more mason jars! I didn’t really observe much of that hay odor when cleaning up these buds. Rather these smelled much more flavorful which leads me to suspect that it shouldn’t be too difficult to cure them
Humidity was a bit more where I wanted it for the NYC Diesel, but the Strawberry Cough was a lil drier so I'm going to just load up the grove bags with some extra humidity, and burp the jars for about 2-3 weeks to see how things pick up. Crushed up one of my Strawberry Cough buds not too long ago and the smoke was smoother than expected (Ironically no coughing - hardy har har). Kind of threw me off out the gate given without any curing performed yet. The diesel, as good as it smells, also hits really well out the gate. Very interested to gauge this strains as they cure more
I spent about 2-3 hours on each plant getting them done. The canna brush again was a big help with brushing off a lot of the drier leaves off the buds. Overall the hydro run went better than I could’ve expected. Hoping I can perfect the craft more and get a better yield on the next crop of plants
