Monty’s Liquid carbon

Has anyone used Monty’s liquid carbon? I need mixing instructions for 1 gallon

I have not used that but I do have an observation.

That is 98% water. 2% humic acid.
Worm castings have 5% humic acid by weight.

@hippie4life: Just realized that your question was left unanswered – sorry for that.

I use humic acid at a 1/2 tsp/gallon rate. One tsp weighs 2 - 3 grams, depending on its moisture content (according to DuckDuckGo’s AI) – let’s call it 2.5. So, 1/2 tsp/gallon works out to (2.5 grams/2 * 0.264 gallons/L * 1000) = 330 ppm.

A 2% solution is 20,000 ppm by definition. To get 330 ppm humic acid in a mixture of yours with other nutrients and water, mix it in a (20,000/330 =) 61:1 ratio.

For example, for 1 gallon of final product, add 1/61 gallon, i.e., 4.2 tablespoons of your 2% solution.

It’s safe to err on the high side with humic acid, BTW.
