MH lamp or CFL? + water filter question

A question from a fellow grower:

  • Do i will really need a MH lamp for the growing phase, because at
    the same area and in the same period i will grow the clones. Or maybe i
    should stay with the CFL lights according the needs of the clones ? And
    definitely some regards about the Watts. -

  • I have a double water filter with active carbon for the minerals and
    the heavy metals and an infrared lamp for the bacteria, viruses, fungi
    and other organisms. It’s safe to watering the plants with this kind of
    water plus the nutrients, the boosters and the protectors or i should
    water everything with something else ?

I just wanted to add one more question with the past 7 others that
is about the Ozone situation for the growing and flowering periodes of
the plants.I should say that i want to have 6 plants in the
flowering room and another 6 plus the clones in the vegetative-growing
room that they have the same dimensions (90-160cm -200cm hight.

I also want to add to the question with the lights about the Watts of the
MH lamp (if needed) the area dimensions are 90cm Depth x 160cm Width x
200cm Hight as mentioned above and specially for the CFL’s some extra
specific requirements.

Also for the Watts of the HPS regarding to the
dimensions if i should take 400W or 600W and some more specific
requirements because i am confused with the Agro references plus other
things and names.

Another thing i could say is that i am going to do it with ebb and flow hydroponic method

The filtered water is probably a very good thing. What is the EC/PPM of the water and the pH?

MH or CFL? It depends, MH could be a little intense for clones, but it depends on how powerful and how close.

I don’t understand what you are asking about ozone. It can be helpful to the plant and certainly can help with smell if it from an Ionizer air cleaner.

Here is a list of minimums of light required per area, maybe this will help:

Seedlings and clones require about 400-1000 lumens per square foot.

Vegetative growth requires about a minimum of 2,000 to 3,000 lumens per square foot.

Flowering requires about 5,000 to 10,000 lumens per square foot, ideally, and can take possibly much more.

10,000 lumens is supposed to be about the average power of the sun at sea level on a clear day at high noon, or something like that, lol. 8,000 – 12,000 lumens is supposed to be about the average power of the full sun without any overcast or no clouds depending on altitude and potentially other factors.

It’s not ideal, but you can make do with 2,000 lumens for an entire grow if necessary.

Flowering can be done under 2,000 lumens but is not ideal and more likely to result in light “airy” buds.
