Did you make those scrogging nets yaself?
LOL That is actually a photo of my frames that @Retiredoldguy reposted. To answer your question, yes.
And you should consider something similar for yourself. It would be a lot easier to work with than what you’re doing now.
The plants in the back of your scrog are going to be a biyatch to work with in a couple of weeks… imo…
That’s why I don’t scrog in my tent anymore. I prefer hst now…
I definitely was that’s why I was asking it would be way better than what I am currently trying to do/use. Just trying to keep everything separated for now w what I got on hand
@Jdash860
Here is a link to a post which has some photos, diagrams and a cut list. If you choose to this route, you should adjust the measurements and whatnot to suit your space.
@jdash860 You could simplify the build by only having a single upper frame. The two upper frames are for height adjustment that may not be needed in your situation.
I appreciate that! bookmarked
I think I would definitely go with both so I could adjust the height as needed I would want to have that option if it was needed v not be able to make it higher
Another approach to adjustable height in this case is to have different length vertical supports or to have “standard” supports with short pieces that you could use to extend them with couplers.
Once you have the basic design you can modify to suit most any situation.
@merlin44 hey man! I hope all is well with you and Mrs. Merlin!! Still sending good thoughts your guys way!!
Thank you, @Strungthru. Mrs Merlin is having a really good day today. Yesterday was a struggle for her. Saturday was very good.
It is hit and miss, from one moment to the next. We make the best of the good moments when they come. All of the support from my friends on the ILGM forum means a great deal to both of us.
Again, thank you so much!
Good morning my friends! It has been a while since I posted on this topic (my grow log). I have been posting weekly on the community grow off topic and the associated “chat” topic.
Yesterday I took a couple of shots that some of you may find interesting. A few weeks ago, I pollenated one cola each on two Northern Lights regular plants (community grow off).
First the entire plant 96 days from sprout, 44 days since flipping to flower:
You can see that it has some leaf issues. I am not concerned at this stage.
This is the pollinated cola:
This is a nearby unpollinated cola on the same plant:
It is not as apparent at this magnification but when I look closely, I swear that I see swollen calyxes that may be seeds forming on the pollinated cola.
My Torr Kitchen vacuum still will arrive on Thursday afternoon. I am very excited to get started with extraction.
There is another community grow off in the planning stage. I hope to participate. I also hope to drop some landrace Burmese seeds that I acquired a while back. Perhaps a combination grow is the ticket.
Happy growing and happy Tax Day.
Very cool comparison pictures! I too, seem to see swollen calyxes..
Hopefully you’ll get great results from your experiment!
May you and Lady Gwendolyne have the greatest of days my friend!
That is interesting and thanks for posting it. I remember the old days when I got weed a qtr bag at a time and it had many seeds sitting at the bottom of the sandwich bag it came in. Beautiful plants @merlin44
When I wore a younger man’s clothes (1970’s) many times there was more seeds than smokable weed. Ah, those were the days…NOT!
No doubt. It was the 80s for me - I’m 57, but definitely remember the excitement when me and my buds would actually scored weed.
I see a couple and agree, looks like you were successful.
Hi @merlin44 ! Wishing you and Mrs. Merlin a wonderful spring!
Great pics, thanks for the comparison! I also see some swollen calyxes, as well as several pistils turning brown, which I understand to be another “pregnancy symptom”, whereas the the unpreggo bud still has all/mostly white pistils.
I placed red dots on the bud where i think @merlin44 was successful. Am i correct in my thinking?
