I see so your thought was, intake line, to bring in the low humidity outside air?

Yes but the key is pull not push. Pull saturated out mechanically. Intake is passive. Allows a filter on intake venting. Never blowing in dust..us again. Wont cause a huge breeze etc. Can exchange a whole room at 120sqft in minute or 3 with decent exhaust unit.
Greenhouse uses same concept. Assisted exhaust with passive intake.
Just thoughts. I prefer passive systems as much as possible. Little electricity or complex machinery.

@MeEasy So depending on how long you got to go, my suggestion would be to get a Dehumidifier at Walmart. Use it - I use my along with my AC and AC is set at 65 and Dehumidifier is set at 45%, run all night and keeps it at 65 degrees and 49-50% humidity. Walmart has a (think) has a 3 or 6 month return policy with receiptā¦ Just return it when youāre done using it. I know this may ruffle some feathers on here, but itās a way to get what you need done and to avoid the dreaded rot!

I have the swamp cooler vent blocked in the room and an exhaust fan for air exchange inside/outside and again inside/inside for adding some moisture when needed
I only have this problem when it is humid outside which isnāt often here, itās probably every couple years or so weāll have a wet year and I always end up with rot when it happens.
Normally the AC is enough but this has been an extra wet year so Iāve decided to buy a dehumidifier to use for prolly three or four weeks, every couple years 
the rest of the time Iāll use it as a little table or to hang towels onā¦ it will be like having a second treadmill 
Iāve never used a dehumidifier and was just wanting to know +/- what size to get for the room. Itās 120 ftĀ² full of moisture making plants so Iām pretty damn sure itās not gonna be one that says it will be big enough for the room size

That makes WAY more sense to me man. 
. Kinda wondered how it could possibly be that humid. Even with the cooler. I just went with the problem. I always am fighting for humidity.

Me too! Iām constantly fighting for more humidity. Thereās just a couple of times now that Iāve had this issue and both times I ended up with rotten buds. Itās not that humid really, I wouldnāt think it would make that much difference but somehow it does
This is the room right now. The lights have been off for almost two hours
Last night it got to 79.9% like an hour before the lights came on

What is the square ft rating on your dehumidifier?
Im looking at one that says 1500 ftĀ² thinking it would be enough for my 120 ftĀ² room 
Any input is appreciated

Mine is 2500 sq ft, itās in a 6x8, 48 sq ft. It gets the job done!

Does that mean you donāt think the one Iām looking at is big enough? I apologize for buggin you but I honestly donāt know shit about these things. I mean I live in a place where we call 20% humidity muggy

Dehumidifiers are spec in a closed room where no external air ever enters but thatās not real life in our house. I have a 4500 ft.Ā² rated model in my 10 x 12 bedroom grow roomā¦ when my plants are in heavy flower with three plants and two tents the best that I can ever get the humidity down to is around 50%ā¦. sometimes the best I can get is around 60% in heavy flower

I canāt say itās not enough, but you canāt have too much! I feel that one would work, but I KNOW a bigger ones does.
Like ROG said, they are rated in perfect conditions for them, real world far from perfect. Buy more than you need, then you wonāt need to buy more because you need it!

I guess that I havenāt been around enough to know that you were fighting with the big C n I hate to hear your dealing with some of the same crap as I am n hope everything else is going well up there. Many times I joke about my plants looking like Iām feeling but itās actually true. When Iām feeling bad I lose the fun time with the plants and I guess it becomes more of a job keeping them healthy and happy. I hope things get better, Iāll send all the healthy good vibes I have your way

Two years ago. Breast cancer. Thankfully it was caught early. Surgery, 20 rounds of radiation, and five years of hormone suppressant pills. I have to eat calcium pills like candy to preserve my bone density. Night before my surgery Tarzan had a heart attack. Luckily our children are still local and took care of us.

Oh wow that must have been scary as hell. Iām sorry to hear about that but glad to hear yāall are doing better. After 5 heart surgeries and 4 surgeries to remove C I definitely understand how it changes your life. Again Iām glad to hear yāall are doing well now, all we can do is hope none of it returns in any of us

@MeEasy dehumidifiers in my case raise my temps by 3C (around 5.5F). Iām growing in a very small room though without AC, so the heat generated by them might not be such an issue for you in your big grow room. Always go a size up than what you need, remember dehumidifiers are speced on a closed room setting, weāre constantly exhausting cause of our extractors so the dehumidifier has to work harder to keep up. I just switched my dehumidifier last grow, and got it slightly above room spec, and I couldnāt get humidity any lower than 58%. I replaced it with one double that size and am managing to drop humidity in the low 40s now. The brand Iām using is Trotec but Iām in Europe, youāll probably have different options in the US. My model pulls 430watts. I leave it on 24/7 for the last month and a half of flowering. Getting mold after all that work is heartbreaking.

That does suck, Iām so sorry to read thisā¦ I have a small grow room and my temps do rise when I have the dehumidifier on, but I also have a window AC that I run at the same time. In flower I had both running a lot, plus 4 fans moving air flow.
