Hi Everyone! I hope you dont mind I have been lurking checking out all your beautiful buds and soaking up as much of your abundant knowledge as possible. I am in the process of getting my area ready for my first ever grow and will be going with an organic grow. Im limited to indoor incognito but am very excited to begin this journey. I have ordered my roadside organics, plant probiotics and my soil ingredients and will have my soil cooking soon

Thank you so very much! Currently trying to figure out the best way to go with tents and lights. Im cleaning out and remodeling an old home on my farm to make room for year round growing of plants of all kinds. The first space will be 8x8 and it will eventually connect to a second slightly larger area. To begin with I was going to go with a 4x4 and 2-2x4 one 2x4 for drying and the other to grow/dry in as needed. Im starting with 3 Ilgm auto strains but would be interested in growing photos later. Anyone have any lights they suggest ? Was originally looking at kits from AC for the automated system and ease of use but several people pointed out some kits have subpar equipment included. I understand its an investment and am prepared to make it just trying to do it the right way the first time. Thank you in advance for any suggestions  Hope everyone is having a great day

Sounds like a good plan

Because of my health bs I haven’t been keeping up with what lights are out there, but I have had good luck with both Spider Farmer and Mars Hydro lights. Of course there are some better and some just more expensive lights out there I just haven’t tried any of them.

Maybe someone will pop in and know of some can’t miss 420 sales opportunities for some great lights

I’ve only had a few but I like my Mars Hydro TSW2000. I only use the single one in a 4x4 and I recently had a driver go out on me (after 6 years of use) and they sent me a new one immediately and I only paid shipping.

Topped after node 3 and cleaned off node 2

I also got one that’s growing really funky, looks like it has 3+ branches at each node and no main cola.

I’m not really sure what to do with it, not even sure if it’s male or female as it’s one of the last 2 seeds from the NL5bx ā€œgrow offā€, didn’t have any luck with the first 8 so had to bow out.

Lookin good my friend… I actually have one of those tri pod plants going right now and what I did was topped it like a normal manifold kept all three mains letting them grow out to the third node cleaning off all but the two branches on the end. This gave it six tops and she’s growing great

Week 5 flower update

Other than dropping the temperature from 80°f to 78° this week has been pretty boring. Water and a couple doses of potassium silicate has been the closest to excitement around here.

@SqbodyMama Cool. You will have great success doing it the Easy way. He flipped many of us. I was growing in soil and liquid nutes with success. Hated the work. Followed @MeEasy a bit and switched to Earth Dust. Living soil. Water only. From his first thread. They went out of business and Easy vetted @Roadsideorganics.ok . We all went with him.
I will never go back to non-living soil. As a stealth grower like yourself the ease of very little equipment, water only and strong plants makes my life better. I am lazy. My setups have an exhaust fan, circulating, rh meter, lights ,10$ analog timer, plants. I run 365 days a year no downtime on flowering plants. Welcome to 1 of the very best threads anywhere let alone ILGM.

@SqbodyMama just a suggestion to ease your life growing.
I live in an arid climate. Hot summers, cold winters. Low humidity 365 days a year. Even when it rains…lmao..which evaporates in minutes at times.
After a couple of years attempting to regulate my tents I bit the bullet and regulated the room instead.
I purchased a solid split window ac. Heat, cool, dry ā€œlike I need thatā€, fan. Very efficient. I vent directly back into room through carbon. Passive tent intake bottom with top exhaust.
Now given I use very cool running lights I can run 900w wide open in flower 5x5 with environment temp at 79-81. NEVER fluctuates. An HLG which are much hotter running would only push it up 1° with inreased tent air replacement. Turn up exhaust fan. Just a suggestion that might assist in setup. Chasing temps really sux. All 3 I have up are easily handled by the unit. I do have the tents light times staggered best I can.

Shhhh @StonedCold13 I have a couple that are starting to get top heavy n sway pretty good. I’m sure they will need some stakes here in a week or two

@Storm thanks for the plant love buddy. I think it was @LiesGrows that switched to Highway first and his success helped me with the decision to switch to it. There’s a couple new products (still living soil mixes) out there I’m going to try out just to change things up and see how it goes.

I had zoom in to make sure there wasn’t some ā€œsecretā€ strings holding them at attention :flexed_biceps:t2::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

I was actually looking for a split window unit. Do you know what make/model yours is? We have hot humid summers and cold dry winters typically so I definitely dont want to be chasing temperatures.

They do pretty good as manifolds but there’s always a couple that can’t hold themselves up for the final 3 or 4 weeks

Food for thought :+1:t2:
I got a wild hair up my bung and gonna be trying to ā€œmanifoldā€ in the earth this season with a couple outdoor :green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

I’ve never tried a manifold outside. You could probably do some serious playing with different numbers of branches and grow some cool stuff
