Thats what i am thinking also. Not much to look at upstairs right now but i am betting on them rooting out in those cups.
That’s why photos are awesome. No rush. You can veg as long as you want.
I am growing Feminized Photoperiods yes.
They are picking up some growth after the waterfeed yesterday and every chance i get i spray the leaves with a mild nutrient solution that i added some Silica to also.
Oh yeah… they’re starting to pop now.
This is this morning. I’ve been foliar spraying them every other hour or until the leaves are dry. The ProMix is staying pretty moist. I doubt it is going to dry out in between waterings like the Coast of Maine did. I am going by the weight of the containers on this one or waut until the leaves start to droop but this Promix is staying moist. I need to start feeding every couple day but i need to be careful not to waterboard my plants at the same time.
I’d be careful spraying the leaves at this point. Roots should be deep/wide enough that she can feed herself thru those now. The medium won’t dry out as quickly if you keep giving them moisture thru their leaves! Let her suck!
That’s a statement I think we can all stand in front of.
Thats what i was thinking too… the medium is taking long to dry and i can’t run a feed without over watering so, i am just wanting to make sure they’re eating enough to start getting some growth established. I have the light high enough and dimmed too 400 PPFD so i don’t have to worry about the leaves burning at all.
I do want the medium to dry out so i can water in a good feed and transplant them into their forever home 5 gall9n fabric pots.
So, i guess i will do this and stop foliar spray forthwith. Thank you @Spudgunner
I find that with Promix, you can keep it moist and it still gets air to the roots so they don’t dampen off. Feeding will soak into it if it isn’t already too wet, if too wet it will replace the water with a feed. Autopots kepp it moist most of the time, never really dries out when I use them.
Sometimes I find the easiest way to soak mine is to put the entire plant in the feed bucket, especially if they are in little pot 1 gallon or less. Just the pot, not the stem or leaves!
I do notice that the ProMix does stay moist while the containers get real light and airy and seem to dry out. I’ll just need to adjust my watering habits slightly. So, instead of waiting for the soil to dry out and the plant start to droop a little, i will need to go by checking the weight of pots alone. I guess this is good because you really don’t want the plants to droop at all. I was getting into the habit of catching them right before the droop to water them. Now i will just go by the weight. I do have a moisture meter i use from time to time. I guess i will be relying on that more often until i get the hang of the ProMix cycle from drench to drought. But, your saying in ProMix you don’t have to go til drought, right? I do see how its going to behave already.
Tranplanted them today in they’re forever homes. 5 gallon fabric pots. I hit them with some Great White around the roots. I had to water it in from the top. I also gave them a waterfeed of Jacks but i didn’t saturate the pots until runoff. I just watered around the roots spread. I didn’t feel runoff was nessassary this time. I am waiting a coupldays for them to take up root and get cozty then ill waterfeed til runoff once they are bigger
Great plan. Congrats on successful transplants. They look happy there.
They are perking up now. Already! They are happy in their new home. I have the light adjusted to 450 PPFD at about 3 feet above the canopys.
See them? They are praying to the light. Its only been an hour since transplant.
Personally, I don’t like getting them dry…last time I let mine get “light”, life got in the way and I didn’t water when I thot I would and the back 2 really dried and damn near died! Lost a bit of yield just by waiting for an extra dry. Lots of risk and lots of stress and anger! But my autopots keep the Promix moist and the plants I did in the flourished!
Promix is light enough that the roots get oxygen even when it is moist, so your plants won’t drown. So I’d keep them more hydrated than what you’re used to, at least until you “learn” how Promix behaves. It is very forgiving!
Hey, thank you! Really… thats what i was seeing and feeling in my gut but wasn’t positive about it. I can see how the ProMix allows oxygen into the roots even while its still damp or moist/wet. I wasn’t sure about it but you just clarified it for me. Its more like Coco than soil. It is Peat moss so i guess i am good to go on the waterings whenever i think it needs it. Still being careful not to overwater though. I think i am going to like the ProMix. Its hard to overwater in the stuff. I can see this… thanks. I have more control over the plant now it seems.
Well, I woke up this morning and took a look inside the tent and realized the big mistake i made of not transferring the labels to each plant. Each one is a different strain and now i don’t know which one is which. I have a pretty clear memory of which one the Island Sweet Skunk is but the other 3 are fuzzy. I am not sure on which is which now. Maybe @Caligurl or @Graysin will be able to identify them as they mature. If not, i guess its no big deal really or is it? It kind of is to me because i really wanted to experience the difference between them and be able to identify them but i might have to just guess now. Bummer. I knew i was going to screw something up. Damn it…!
Oh well… Gray may be able to narrow it down as they grow but chances are slim. No biggy… it’s like the one year I grew 4 volunteers LOL… knew who the dad was but mom was a mystery.
I have a pretty good idea but like i said , I know the Island Sweet Skunk and black Amnesia × peanut butter Breath but the other 2 are fuzzy. I think the biggest one is the Peanut butter Breath S1, so that would make the other the Peanut butter Breath ×caramel. But i am not sure now. My memory has not been up to par.
They all look great. It’s about to get on and crackin’.
