I noticed a nice thing the last few days. Back a while ago when the plants were stretching a lot I bent some of the tallest tops down so the lights could be closer to more buds. About 5 or 6 of these kind of snapped but did not break open. I believe this is super cropping. A couple are still a little bent over but the others straightened out a bit.
Now all of them are MUCH bigger and thicker than the other buds and colas. So is that a common result of super cropping? I think next grow I will try and super crop all the branches and see what I get.
I am being pleasantly surprised with this flower. It is a week or so ahead of the other 2 flowers in the tent and the buds looked like they were starting nice then they looked like they stopped getting bigger and the stretch was huge so they looked lanky. The other plants in the tent started slower but they are/were a lot beefier looking.
Well today I nust say the Muai x LSDâs have kicked it in gear and caught up and look to be surpassing the size of the other buds in the tent. They still smell a little different or I am just getting used to it. But I now think it is going to give a great harvest.
The colaâs are fattening up. They are starting to need more help standing up. I know what a problem to have The biggest one was resting way down when I got home today. Had to add another stake to tie it up. Maybe a 4th of July harvest Today is 7 weeks, day 49 of 12/12
50 days today. Buds are really getting full. ILGM says indoor 56 days. I know this is only a guidline but the buds are really swelling but all the pistils are still freshly white. Not a hint of color change yet. I have to think 2-3 weeks still. At least. I have the scope set up to take trich pics so I will try tomorrow.
In general how much do buds usually swell in the last 3-4 weeks? Is there a timeline of when pistils start to turn to finish?
I added a few stakes to hold up the colas. They are sticky and smell good. I am going to set the scope up later to show some trich shots. Here are the plants this morning.
Watered again today. The colas are doing well. I counted about 16 that are over a foot long and swelling nicely, about the size of a golf ball. The all white pistils are now 50% colored now Not long now I think. 1-3 weeks? Not giving any more nutes, just water from here on out. Needs water every 2 days now.
Girls tops are getting thick. I am one week now of just water no nutes. I think I will continue just water till done. Looking through 30x loupe the trichs are about 75% cloudy and the pistils are maybe 30% brown/orange. Today is day 61 of flower so I am watching the trichs more than the pistils and going to cut at close to 100% cloudy. Maybe this weekend or early next week.
Today is day 63. In a couple buds I would say 90+% cloudy and a couple buds 60-70% cloudy.I sampled 3-4 buds on possibly 2 different plants. With the 30x loupe it is much more clear to see but the pics I think show it a bit also. On the second pic I think is the one I see a few clear. I have 5 plants so I may just pic a day and the one I think is all cloudyâŚharvest. then the next day the same so it would take me 5 days to finish the harvest.
Haha that is the struggles of a grower. That is always a personal option so I donât like to tell people a certain amount of days LOL youâll know when it feels right
