Was wondering in anyone knows if the sp 6500 would work in a 4x8x6 tent. I did some research but it seemed kind of mis leading. Basically said the light is intended for commercial grow spaces. And that its too much light for most home grow spaces yet only has a 3x5 footprint. I currently have it. I. My tent now at about 75 percent from what i can tell it would work for 3 plants. Height is about 15 inches per manufacturer. Any advice would be helpful, also i read that it is highly recommended to have a source of co2 with use of this particular light. I do know on the max dimmer setting it pulls 650 watts at wall.

What is your end-goal? An SP3000 could flower 1lb+ in a 2x4, if that was the intention.

650w is not too much. Better more than less available. There is where dimmer comes in. The light wont fail you. No co2 needed. Footprint for veg larger than 3x5. 4x8 can easily fit 2. I have 3 300w es300 in a 5x5. I run 2 in veg and fire up 3rd for flower.

Not really a goal , i had an opportunity to try light . Im not concerned about amout ,but if it will help me yield more im all for it.

That is a good light designed for growing on racks like this…
However if you have the right size grow space it would work fine.
Has LM301B diodes which are good for cannabis.
