Good evening. I would freeze it 24 hours before you need it at least. I froze mine as soon as it went in the bag. But yes youāre correct you freeze it before you add the ice. Add a layer of ice, youāre Frozen bud, and another layer of ice

This is how I make it. Once I harvest several plants. I save all the small tiny buds and sugar leaf trimmings. All goes into the freezer. After it sits in the freezer for 2 days or so I pull it out and dump it on to my trim tray which has a 100 micron screen. With your hand, work your material back and forth, make some circles ( like wax on and wax off ) then go back and forth some more. Donāt put alot of downward pressure. What you want to do is get the tricomes through the screen, not the leaf material. After about 15 minutes, lift the tray up and scoop all you kief into a pile and slide off to the corner. Sift some more weed. Keep doing this until your not getting hardly anything at all. Your kief will have a nice golden look. Remember, it takes alot to make a little. Then, boil some water, get round mason jar with a lid, fill the jarand screw the lid down tight.( the jar will be hot, so have a pot holder or an oven glove for your hands ). Now, take your kief and fold it tightly in a piece of parchment paper. Take your jar and roll it back and forth over your wrapped kief until it flattens out. Use heavy pressure. Open your paper, peal the kief off, fold it up, recover it the paper and roll it again. Repeat 4 or 5 times. At this point, it will be black and pliable. From there I roll it in a ball and work it with the heat from my handsfor another 20 minutes or so. Pop it into a small glass jar w/ a lid then make a cocktail later that evening. Iāve used the pesses before, but the end product is very hard. This way the end product is still soft.

Thanks for sharing that adviceā¦ I will definitely try itā¦ a previous time i tried to make it, i think i pressed the weed to hard, so the end product ākiefā didnāt want to stick together like its supposed toā¦
