@Not2SureYet , you have mail in the dark.![]()

Thanks @Growdoc I got it. I will send her a e mail first. And see where the seed trade goes. I am looking at maybe dropping 2 more autos now. I think the grow bug got me again ![]()
I don’t think I’ve ever shown you guy’s the guts to my homemade commercial humidifier
That’s all it is..
This is what it looks like exactly 3 seconds later after I plugged it in.
Yesterday I had to readjust the tent and the light once again to get everything a little more uniform and the canopies even to there growth stage. I am so done with the autoflowers the inconsistent veg time is just ridiculous. Nevertheless, we’ll make the best of these tiny ass plants.
What can we get into this morning?
Cool humidifier. Looks like it works great too. I would quit autos as well if I always got little plants like that too. Even my little one at least look like a decent sized bush. This is a tiny plant for me. Fortunately. They are rare. I sent you an e mail too ![]()
That’s just an ultrasonic vibration ring like they put in jewelry cleaners, correct? They have small ones that make the mist for some of the in home sulptures:
Where did you get one that size?
Darran you’re exactly right. They’re simply a more commercialized outdoor pond ultrasonic mist maker that makes tons of fog. Fog equals humidity. @Not2SureYet yes this thing will take your tent from 0% humidity to 100% humidity in less than 2 minutes and keep it there. It’s hands down a must-have for humidity in growing weed.
Darran this one I purchased off of AliExpress for about $100. I bought it for growing mushrooms as mushrooms need serious humidity all the time. It was the perfect mushroom tent humidifier. When switching over to weed I decided I would try it and I found that it was the answer to my humidity problem as you know how these $69 humidifiers don’t work
.
Nevertheless, it cost me $100 for the ultrasonic mister, $12 for a 17 gallon tote, I had a used fan that works perfectly, and $30 in piping. So for $150 approximately you could build this. If you notice my ultrasonic machine has five heads. Two heads would be sufficient for growing in a 4x4 tent. Five is overkill. But I tend to go for the best of the best ![]()
Also I have a catch tray in the tent that gets the water. I simply pour the water back into the reservoir so my water is recycled. I use it for about 2 weeks and then I change it. I never have any calcium buildup at all (white powder) from using tap water but I also pour a half a bottle of peroxide in the water for contaminants etc and for some reason my tap water does not produce white dust as many others have complained about.
I have had my humidifier long enough I forget what it cost. It does work good though. I have it set up with an inkbird, so it keeps things where I want it. The up side it is is reasonably small. I have this one here
Good morning guys and gals. I hope you guys are having a lovely morning. We’re going to get into a little observation this morning as four (4) of the plants have turned 21 days since transplant and the soil of each of the girls have never been ran off to check the pre-charge nutrient status.
Basically, running off is simply utilizing enough water to wear water starts to run out of the bottom of the pot as you feed it. I like to catch at least a cup and a half. I utilize a turkey pan and an upside down Pepsi crate to catch all my water. It’s a nice little setup that cost $1
When watering or feeding my girls at this point I utilize a 1 gallon pump sprayer with the nozzle removed to give me a slow even watering that is very important when watering your plant.
I also use a wetting agent called yucca so every piece of dirt is guaranteed wet. Yucca is also good for releasing salts from your soil. It’s actually what’s in the flushing agent called sledgehammer by Fox Farm.
I’m not going to waste RO water on this runoff. I simply used my 125 PPM tap water added another 125 PPM of calcium magnesium and I’ll run that through as my feed. Well also look at each individual girl as an update. So let’s get this party started. I’ll be going in with about 275 PPM of water pH’ed to 6.5
First up,
GSCE

Still in veg
Runoff 1460
pH. 4.36
She still has plenty of precharge food with a 1460 PPM run off. What’s incredibly disturbing is the pH of 4.36 runoff.
This is a problem. What are you going to do about it? I’m going to IGNORE IT! I know that sounds ridiculous but I’ve been around long enough and I’ve seen more people destroy their plants chasing their pH with Happy frog soil as it has the worst ph dip problem than any soil on the market.
My plant will tell me when my pH is messed up. That plant is vivid green and happier than a hooker with a billionaire’s gold card. There’s nothing wrong. In another week she’ll be getting Advanced Nutrients pH perfect so I choose not to even concern myself with the Happy frog pH bullshit Been there done that

Runoff 1410
pH 5.78
Very consistent pre-charged nutrient runoff of 1430ppm and once again I’m going to IGNORE the low swinging pH. As the plant looks fantastic.

pH 6.46
Boy does she look HUNGRY
She was bone dry. She was incredibly thirsty. When your plant looks like that, she’s screaming to water her. I know people that actually will not water their plants until they start to droop that way. It’s almost a good practice
especially for people who have over watering issues. Nevertheless she’s happy and healthy.
Oh My Thai (a midget)

This weed is going to be total fire ![]()
She’s eating good she’s got lots of bud sites but she’s a midget. Any Autoflower midget that I’ve ever grown has been four to five times stronger than its normal sister plant. I couldn’t ask for a better strain to be a midget. ![]()
Last up, we have…
Afghanistan
37 Days old
24 Days since transplant
In Flower
Runoff 1400
pH irrelevant
FEED silica, calmag, micro, grow, Bloom, Bud Candy, voodoo Juice 681ppm in
Yah, she’s begging to be fed ![]()
As you can see I went in very heavy on the first real feed as I have no idea how she’s eating until I got these runoff numbers. She ran off 1400 PPM and that’s just fine. I’ll go in at about 475 PPM on her next feed and that should balance her down to the 1000 PPM runoff mark (if my calculation gas is correct) ![]()
In general I now know where all the girls stand and that’s a very good place to be in a grow. All my notes have been documented so the next few day I simply go back and act accordingly I spent a little time snipping off leaves that were hitting the dirt and that’s it. No other leaves were taken. I don’t see any major concerns whatsoever. I like to see this Afghanistan girl stretch a little
but she’s looking well.
The pH dip in the Happy frog soil isn’t a concern to me as it’s never negatively affected anything in the growth or deficiency of any of the leaves. As I said before, this is a problem with the soil but I have found the solution is to ignore it if there is absolutely nothing wrong with your plants
I also believe people that flip out over The swinging pH and start flushing and flushing and flushing and readjusting their pH and readjusting their pH are just doing nothing but making matters 10 times worse. Let your plant be your guide
Happy hump day people

I recall my first grow, when I dealt with nutrient lock-out due to 50% Happy Frog/ 50% Ocean Forest. I am fortunate to live in a region with rich, loam soil. The soil that I propagate my girls in is 25% recycled Happy Frog, 25% native soil, 50% Garden mix. My theory being the microbes, nutrients, and mineral components of my native soil will buffer the acidic nature of Happy Frog soil. I have recycling my soil for 3 years running. So far, so good.

Wow, nice to hear someone say out loud that happy frog or ocean forest mixed has pH problems. It’s the only soils I have used since I started growing and seems like I always once I get towards the flower stage have my pH drop. This time I checked my phone on runoff and it was 6.19. So like you said I flushed with 3 gallons of 6.75 pH water. After checking my runoff it came out at six point two three. The plant looks fabulous! They always seem to look fabulous. But everything I’ve learned says that the pH is too low and I need to raise it. Sounds to me like you are just going to ignore it which is what I’ve been told You shouldn’t do. I like your idea. And I would like to follow that through the rest of the grow. Check it out at
Mucluc’s do-si-do that could. And let me know what you think.
Thanks, happy growing!
Thanks for the reply. If I were noticing any type of abnormality in the plant I wouldn’t hesitate to try to fix it. Nevertheless, I’ve been through this so many times and the solution is simply used Advanced Nutrients as pH becomes irrelevant at that point. I only have a week to go before my numbers will dictate feeding (Advanced Nutrients) so I’m simply going to ignore it. And yes happy frog has always had pH issues. It’s the only thing really readily available here and it’s cheap. Once again thanks for your input ![]()
