I moved the lights up 6 more inches to make it 30” away like you recommended.
So you think my original running temps are fine?
I think you may be right about the light bleaching, I originally had the lights VERY close to the top of the plants, I’d say 6 inches…for like two weeks! SMH Because I kept reading misleading information saying to keep it as close to the plant as possible without it burning. I guess I messed that up.
I found a weird problem today when I checked in on the roots of the smaller plant. The roots are like tangled and have black on them somehow. I know the nutrient mix has black stuff in it so I’m not sure if its from that or if something else is going on thats more serious. I ordered the Calmag and the Hydroguard and it will be here tomorrow.
The roots look fine they will change color as the grow goes and how the nuits color are as long as there’s no slime or bad order they look great and if u want to remove the leafs that’s fine
so you think I should just cut off the lower leaves that look the worst of them? It won’t affect the plants production of buds during flowering? Sorry if its a dumb question but I’m learning lol
Anything that plant has to waste energy on will effect yield but you have a good 3-4 weeks of veg to go before you even think about flower right now your job is to try to keep them somewhat happy they will take a lot of abuse and keep coming back for more watch the ph and ppm is main thing right now and water temp
when you say don’t remove the pre flower, that means to stay to the affected lowest leaves possible? Thanks for the patience everyone, definitely appreciate it.
No the pre flower is the part where the leaf stem meets the main stem if you hit the preflower you won’t get a shoot from that point don’t worry about the preflower till you get the basics down
Yes it is a 5x5 tent, I’m all about DIY lately lol so do I’m not sure how to go about this. Do i need to start a new thread for this since its a new topic? or are we allowed to congregate here lol
@cmbx…Additives…especially dark colored will also color the roots. Hydroguard has kept algae from killing my Ladies. Since the other longer roots look nice, clean and healthy…it appears the “spot” is not a problem. IF you want to be sure, smell the root in question. IF it smells like crap, it’s algae. IF it smells ok, it’s a non-issue.
Algae can and will choke the roots and kill the plant. Aeration and the Hydroguard keeps the water algae free.
