@Mr.Mr.Limelight Since I’ve never vegged inside this long before moving outside and I have been running a 18-6 light cycle should I make any adjustments before moving outside permanently to a currently 13-11 cycle? I just don’t want the temp and light change to trigger flowering.

I would wait till it’s closer to 14 hrs of day light or they could flower prematurely
But if you supplement the extra light till there permanently outside they will be fine

Preesh! I think I will slowly increase their dark time so that when they move out permanently in won’t be such a change and then it will start decreasing again. Looks like this is going to delay my transplanting another couple weeks but they’re fine in the 3 gal until then. I’m still ahead of the game from last season. Next time I will use a 14-10 inside for the outdoor photos.

The 18-6 is to get a stronger/ bigger controlled plant & root systems to be transplanted
Then they tend to be ready 2 grow crazy and take what ever comes at them weather wise and by Harding them off from inside to outside they’ll be ready for wind
In my mind at least
I would give them 15hrs at the minimum
16/8 & 18/6 is just the sweet spot for me
But there’s nothing like the sun and warm weather
The ones in the barn are under 6500k tube lights & a couple of the harborFreight cheapest led 2 bulb shop lights
Cheaper then changing the old ballast out
I can’t wait to see how big Bertha’s babies
grow this year with the extra time and space

peat moss is 14bucks for a 2.2cf or 3cf compressed bale at tractor supply something is telling me
If you mix it with the native soil it will guarantee you don’t have any drainage issues
That’s what I did with that heavy black farm soil I had my Boys got get from behind the house
But I’m getting 2 more yards of a local made potting soil coco/peat moss mix
to mix with the last of the super soil that’s left
Most of the local tree services & landscapers use them for dumping wood ,leaf’s & grass cuttings
And we can get mulch, soil, compost ,stones ,bricks ,gravel, grass sod at one place for a discount since I have a account

Thanks for the push in the back. These have been on 18-6 for almost 8 weeks and have already been in 50 degree temps and 15 mph winds. So I think I’m going to go ahead and transplant them, so I can get the autos going. I already dropped a Bertha seed that should be popping any time now. Thanks for the peat moss tip. I’m probably just gonna have to dig shallow and get more leafy peatish soil instead of digging deep for this grow. Weather is great today… so I’m going to shovel.
