Light bleaching fan leaves?

I’d say if you were at 12 to 14 even with tempered glass and a cool tube you probably had some light burn …

So I assume that the bleaching on these plants will not recover. Should I rotate them after I’ve got the light adjusted so that the non-bleached portions of the plant are in the center directly under the light? Does it matter?

Doesn’t matter

Always good to rotate plants since our light source does not travel across the sky… there was a fellow… I think it was @basementstealth that made a turn table to grow on and it was on an axis to simulate the earth spinning …was pretty genious… it grew the plant for sure

As high as it gets now!

They’re done the stretch at this point thankfully, hopefully I didn’t do too much damage. From the top of the tallest buds to the glass is now 20”. From the glass to the bulb is another 3”. So do I call it 23” or should I count it from the glass rather than the bulb?

It is an insulated hood with tempered glass. The room is exhausted by pulling through it.

You are ok at that point if they are done streching… there recomended 24 inches I’ve ran 18 in 1000watt before no issues actually good results any closer… leaves will start giving you signals …standing up .edges frilling… yellow splotchyness … if antofagasta that starts to happen start coaxing branches to the side and away from the source

Thanks. the whole issue is I over vegged for this space and don’t have room to go sideways anymore than I have already.

Really appreciate the help!

I go from the glass. 3 inches dont matter unless your my wife lol. Looks good. Though you’re gunna see a huge improvement and you caught it in time before everything’s tatted going crispy and foxtailing and all that funky stuff

@Deez quick question. Does that bulb screw into one side? Looks like it. If so thats a single ended hps like what I have. Double ended and single ended goes by bulb. Not by the holes for the ducts. Just wanted to clarify.

The bulb doesn’t screw in, it’s a funny looking bulb that has a filament that sticks out of either end of it, there’s no screw connectors on it at all. Definitely double ended. Oddly I’ve never seen a hood of this type outfitted for double ended bulbs until I purchased this one. I’d only ever seen these made for single ended

I hear you on that 3 inches. I married an accountant! Measuring and counting is what she does best!

Thanks for help and get me on the right track before things got too far

Okay I just wanted to make sure that it was definitely double ended and not a single ended fixture lol some people confuse the 2 because the hood has 2 opening for the I take/exaust. The other de fixtures im used too look alot different lol

Same here, they are crap for actually measuring PAR and really only useful to see if you have even coverage levels. If you really want to know how much PAR you are giving the plants then really need a Apogee quantum sensor, I bought a USB model that I just plug into my laptop.

How are things @fano_man

Whooaa… we got a @basementstealth sighting… I’m good man good… to much to explain I’ll tag you to my recent endeavor… it’s a novel my man… how are things with you
Happy 420 belated btw

Well I’ve got this light as high as it can go and I’ve pushed it off to one side of the tent and put the plants in height order with the shortest directly under the light and the rest off to the side.

And now the sour diesel is foxtailing like crazy

I’ve never had to deal with this before. Is this bad?
