Thank you for taking the time to get back to me in the mess of everything I totally understand and sort of answered my own question in the in-between but for future seekers although this specific driver is a constant current the (80H) specifically denotes the total wattage it will put out regardless. I even tried wiring in two separate series, Using Wago connectors this did however up the voltage about 10 watts correcting voltage drop in the run (just as dbrn32 mentioned). Also I was able to adjust (Dim) the build with the IO adjust after this.
So- maybe it was my fault when I entered the COBS into the calculator or. But the fact is this driver would be sufficient for two of these cobs. The fix I ordered the HLG-185H-C700A. 45 watts a cob should be more than sufficient.
Thanks again!
I belong to about ten different lighting groups so they can help me with driver selection.
That driver will run your cobs at more like 35 or so watts per cob. Maybe a little more depending on actual output current of driver, as they are usually a little higher than nameplate.
It’s a constant current driver. That means +/- 700ma is the current. Forward voltage of current cxm-22 is about 50v at that current. So 50*.7=35 watts. Just because it is a 200 watt driver doesn’t mean you will use all output power from it. With some bonus current you could expect to pull a few more watts per cob, and then the driver losses, which wouldn’t really be calculated into power per cob. But it will properly run all 4 cobs.
Im growing 5 autos and i dont know how high i should keep a 1200W Led from the top of the plant? Please give advice…
What is the make and model of light? How big is your grow space?

Normally I would say you could run that light at about 18" or so to flower. But it’s kinda small for your space, so you may have to run it a little higher to get good coverage.
Over watering would be my guess. Dome the plants with a clear Solo cup and mist the inside of the cup twice a day with a spray atomizer of distilled water. Plants get NO moisture out of soil until a root develops. So watering soil only raises humidity around plant. You should be fine then.

Do you chive on?
Hey @dbrn32 are these lights good to use together? I have 1 630 watt cmh and 2 different brands of 1200 watt led in a 13x7x7.5
I just don’t feel like my plants are taking off like they should! They’re in about day 13-15 into flower do they look about around that time frame if you know what I mean?Grow them with the Vip and beastva then flower them with the 630w
How large of area are those lights covering? Looks like they’re out in middle of room, so not much for reflection and you have a ton of light spill away from your canopy.
How do I correct the light spill? Could I just go to Home Depot and get some of that reflective bubble wrap? Also the entire room is 13x7x7.5 so is that the reason the pots have not been drying like they should be and the plants aren’t growing to fast the way I think they should? Also I have another 630 watt cmh and a 315 watt cmh with the super lumen option and oh yea the 630’s are Gavita and the 315 is vanquish. So I guess my question is which lights should I use for each stage? I have 6 Cherry Haze autos going 1 GMO clone and 1 GG clone along with the 4 I am flowering
You can probably use any of them for any stage of growth. I think more importantly is that the 630 is good for about 4x4 space and 315 good for up to a 3x3 space. Without reflection, maybe even a little less. You could probably get them into a corner or against a wall then use some reflective material to make a curtain of sorts.
Ok gotcha so would it be ok to use the green light while lights off to work in there and get it taken care of? I really only bought the blurple lights as a red and far read supplement so pretty much what I need to know is should I add the other 630 watt ceramic metal halide in there also?
I wouldn’t use the green light if plants are in flower. In veg doesn’t make a bit of difference, you can turn regular lights on if you need.
Your cmh is better than leds you have, without a doubt. Once you get light density squared away should be pretty good. I can’t really tell from pictures what your canopy size is, but if you need the other light to get to what I described above, then yes I would add it.
