Let's talk DIY lights

Exact results would probably depend on which lights you were talking about. More total light output would be best, from there you would get best results from having more diffuse light.

I’m using the 600w maxsisun. I been researching this brand for a while now I’ve read really good reviews and from experience I want to say it’s been good so far. My plants are happy and thriving, That’s why I wanted another 600w maxsisun. But someone said it would be better for a 1000w light I’m just like wtf do I do now.

Hi Breezy they are growing fast. !
4x4 tent 4x4 = 16
for blurples figure 50 watts per sq ft. so 16 x 50 = 800 watts you need. (is what I learned here)
your light is 134 watts, why are you not looking into QB lighting for your flowering ? hey have the rspecs now, I know the light cost like 59 dollars you have but you will suffer on nice tight buds in the end. Just saying, but I do have a viper 450 and those were great lights but only use for seedlings now.

Haha I thought about it but schedule to flip is supposed to be the 11th of October theyre only 21 days old today, i wanted to wait 4-5 weeks but if they’re at 16-18 inches sooner than that i am flipping them they’re only at 5-8 inches now.

I’m gonna check it out thank you for the info as well!

Flipping them at 21 days old probably wouldn’t do you any good. However, I would expect to have to clear some side branching by the time you get there. As long as you can get to all of your plants that should be a fun grow.

I was sorta kidding but you are going to have a SOG pretty soon. Whether you like it or not haha.

Just trying to help you out Breezy, I have a big heart and want you to have a great grow, You will with those lights, but qb’s are the way to go, the buds change and become very different than my other grows, the buds grow into tight nuggets, I think you want to try to shoot for 2.5 or more umol/j . @dbrn32 has given people excellent advice towards lighting and would follow him. The proof is here and I learn more and more every day. Happy Growing !
This is the difference -

These are under blurple 2 years ago lol !
Even though the buds look great, they were very airy after cure.
Now under the QB’s a whole different story -

the difference is after these dry and cure, they are going to be very tight nuggets. I know the initial cost of QB’s is up there and the blurples are cheaper , but the final product makes the difference. Just some info for down the road that you can build on !

@Beezy745

As mentioned, and trust me on this, you need to cut off ANY side branches if you are keeping all those ladies in that tent.

Yea them skunks grow stupid fast under correct condition @OldSchoolGrower s did and it’s not that were saying you cant do it but humidity is going to be hard to controll ls tdd e in flower with almost the entire floor full of moist dirt …when leaves transpire they create a breeding ground for mold when touching other plant leaves I thought I could do it too

but I learned about bud rot the hard way
