Manifold them and all growth stays inside the cage rings. Smaller footprint. Big plants give big yields though, no wrong way to do it, as long as they have enough space to not intertwine with each other and block light. I’ve seen one plant absolutely stuff a tent using a screen, I’ve just never used one, I prefer to take them out to water and check them for any problems.

ILGM Wedding Cake Auto… 8 weeks above ground, and about 5 1/2-6 weeks into flower…
… Both from the same batch and sprouted on the same day, both given the same treatment, but look completely different…

Day 23- defoliation and training

Looking amazing!!! I’m so glad you left some leaves! I used to take every leaf with a visible stem at 21 days and 42 days of flower. But I have recently learned that that’s not a great idea. Because if we take all those leaves we have taken the plants ability to produce buds. It needs the leaves to conduct photosynthesis. So now the plant has to spend all its energy producing more leaves to conduct photosynthesis to make the buds.

I just did a 6 week defol on these, I did a running defol on them , taking a few here and there that were blocking entire buddies, otherwise, I leave the solar panels on.
