Went through the full thread, and already looking for a wine fridge, ordered the dehumidifier and already have the inkbird …
Can’t wait to try that, my environment is usually not stable, too hot/dry most of the time.
Last grow has been ruined with 80f @55… Dried (or fried I should say…) in 3 days

Do you know if the cannatrol is using the same principle than your version ?
Do I have to plan for smell outside the wine fridge ?

The cannatrol uses dew point but same outcome

Smell hasn’t been a problem with my three, only when you open the door. They use dew point, where I’m controlling temp and humidity separately.

Does it look like a good model to you ? Thermoelectric, 20 bottles.
I will attest that this works amazingly well. Last year ran blueberry and when container is opened now, it smells strongly of blueberries. Prior grows lost a lot of terpines in uncontrolled garage drying. Thank you Growdoc! The cannatrol units still sell for over $1000, even used.
That will work fine! I have an 18, 20, and 24 . They all work well.

Drain is in the middle, not at the bottom of the fridge, but the blades just fits in the drain, so finger crossed … Only place I could put it.
Now comes time to fine tune all that, temp does not go down fast on those wine fridges …
Humidity is too low, but it’s to be expected when empty I suppose. I just put a bowl of water with a sponge for now, wait and see …
The inkbird is set to Start at 61 and stop at 58.

Just a couple of question on the usage if you don’t mind @growdoc ?
I tried a small broken branch 7 days ago to test, it is not yet fully dry, but 2 or 3 more days should do it.
I was wondering if I should block the dehu and fridge fans from blowing on directly ?
Also was confused about temp/humi to have, some say 60/60 from start and all the way to cure, some put it to 55% to force it down from start, some put it at 60f others at 68f.
For the test I started around 78%/68f to not overload the dehu since it produce a small amount of heat, and lowered both T and H 1 % per day until I arrive at 60/60 today. Not super stable but it stabilize with time it seems.
Turns out after 7 days I have a bit of hay smell, not to bad but present. But I suppose this should go during the cure right ?
Anyway, I think I see progress from my previous tries at drying, it is a much different process, much slower but that’s the goal.
First plant chop is planned at end of week. Bud wash and in the drydoc they go … we’ll see from there, finger crossed…

I dry at 68 degrees and at first humidity is set in at 76, off at 74, I usually drop it by 2% any time I walk by and it is stabile but high. I walk it down to 61-62 percent in about 5 days, then drop to 60 degrees and 58-59 percent humidity and cure 5 more days. When it goes in jars for long curing, hay smell will go away if it hasn’t already, and they will be right on 61-62 percent in the jar. You can burp a few times if hay smell present, then seal up to cure and store. I keep my jars in a dark tote.
