I’m realizing wifi is truly the optimal way of observing and sloping the dry/cure.
Put the therm/humidity probe from ac infinity 69pro inside the door, and attached the dehu plug to infinitys plug, and now I can steer the process, observe the chart, and confirm whats causing what to who🤪
Removing heatsink material will change the performance of the peltier. The heatsinks are typically engineered to a specific amount of surface area in order to lower the case temperature to a specific point which also by design corresponds to peltier control side temps.
Being that this is actively cooled I don’t suspect removing a small amount of heatsink would have a large impact, and small changes probably wouldn’t put it into a situation where it doesn’t function as intended. But if you take enough it probably won’t work as well.
I had to trim one shelf to put it where it would drain into the factory drain hole, that’s most important, you may have to sacrifice 8 square inches of one shelf to make it perform correctly. The peltier should not be cut on.![]()

Agree with @dbrn32 and @Growdoc . Just because I’m very familiar with cooling devices for medical equipment, I can tell you that it’s not a good idea to mess with something that has been engineered with a specific design point like heat sinks and fins. You might be able to take a 1/16th of an inch off because they usually design with a + 10% tolerance, but any more than that is inviting trouble. Better modifying the shelf than the actual working part. Hope that helps.
Man i want one of these but have 0 skills to build one.
Just keep a calculated eyeball out for the necessary equipment. Once you get it someone here will be able to help you get it put together.
You got this. If you can tear apart a dehumidifier and drill a hole, you can make one.
Plenty easy buddy and we all here to help ya step by step if needed ![]()

So i have a wine cooler that i used as an incubator for my snakes. Im thinking ill just remove the whole compressor unit since it doesnt work anyway and put this in.
Then i have the temp controler that i used for the heat tape that will controll that.. as dar as the humidity im figuring a wet rag should keep it close.
Any thoughts?
You have something to power the 12v DC🤔
Well shit lol any ideas
I know they make converts but couldnt say how much they are:+1:![]()
Which the cooler might have a 12v output circuit you would have to have a wiring diagram of cooler to see if it does🤔
Ill have to look at that
Would something like this work
Holy shit guys, just buy the parts that were shown, by the time you buy all the voltage converters and controllers, just get the dehumidifier and it’s all you’ll need.
