@Spudgunner well that room is sealed, it’s a room inside my bedroom. I will take a picture when the lights come on but I have a portable AC, not using it at the moment but have two spots in the wall with holes from when I exhausted it into the wall and I have a hole in the Attic where it is running now. So I’m guessing I’m just going to mount this filter up in the air and exhausted into the wall
I connect direct to filter with no problems. Im wondering if that filter is large enough for a room, I know it is for a tent. Also on high is not always best and if using a humidifier it is way better to use reverse osmosis water. Without RO water the mineral deposits will plug up the carbon way faster.
All right y’all well I put some work in and got it mounted and ran the exhaust and an old hole already in the wall. I ain’t going to lie I’m kind of scared of it falling because I couldn’t bend the screw where I have it hooked to but now I’m spooking about it falling on my light LOL but I put this filter up, turned the portable AC on 65° because that exhaust is running in the Attic and I figured if I run it and get it cold in there for a little while between that and the AC exhaust pushing cleaner air through the Attic I’m hoping this clears the chamber out faster if that makes sense. Well here is my work y’all
What size fan and filter? Looks kind of small for size of your room. In a perfect world the fan would pull air through any voids in room so that air is coming in them instead of leaking out. A decent filter will do a pretty good job of removing scent as long as it’s not too humid and there’s no air leaks in the flange.
@dbrn32 well I woke up this morning and sniffed in front of the house and it might have helped a little bit I’m not sure but I could still smell it when I put my nose to the wall. I cracked the door open to the grow room this morning and stuck my nose inside and it was straight dank in the room, I assume it is still supposed to smell in the room regardless of the filter correct? This is what I got
Yes. Inside the grow room it will smell. Just like a tent, it will smell inside the tent but not outside the tent. Exiting your filtered air into the wall can be restricting the fan if the opposing wall is less than 6 in away from the filtered air outlet.
Get a dryer flap with a screen in it cut a hole in your wall at the top and run your dryer vent to it and hook your fan up and exhaust it directly out of your house might pull enough and on a straight line more bends reduce air flow. This is what I was doing when I didn’t have a filtration system. But with the filter it should reduce your smell. If that don’t work at the end of the vent exiting your house stuff 5 fabreeze dryer sheets in the end where the air is being pushed out will give a different scent. I know for a fact dryer sheets work, cops and sheriff’s were in my house and it smelled like clean laundry.
Correct. The air in the grow room is basically untreated until its pulled through the filter. The discharge from fan should be filtered air and at the very least should have reduced scent if working properly.
Even recirculation with the grow room will just be mixing treated air with untreated air and won’t remove the smell.
Old school right there
was always my go to back in the old days ![]()

Look at Downy Unstoppables dryer scent pellets. I put a few cups of them in grow building and you can’t pick up the weed inside the building unless I open a room or tent and expose fresh unfiltered air .![]()
you can put them back in the jug and they recharge the scent too. Been using one jug over a year!
@Growdoc LOL I use them too man. Show me exactly what charcoal I need to make the DIY filter and what else I need please
If you want to do a big barrel filter like I did, you will need a 6 inch filter and inline fan, and a removable lid barrel, mines 13 gallon. I can post how to build it if yall are interested.![]()

@Growdoc OMG dude that one bag is a couple dollars more than my whole fan and filter kit were lol
It does not take much to refill a filter, if IIRC it will refill a 4" 3 times and a 6" twice been awhile since I looked at mine.
hey man i go by red ima send these pics to you this is my very first girl ever. Can you please tell me if they’re all good I’m gonna send you a picture of the plants that I have in pots and then the ones that I actually have in the ground outside they’ve all been grown outdoors because the sun’s been awesome here in Washington but tell me if this one’s ready will you or not or what do you think if I did OK or I’m just kind of filling it out, bro also, is there any way you can help me figure out what strain I have honestly, I just grabbed these from my Homie that had a few dishes when they were first cut off of a plant. I have no idea where they came from but it turns out that I think they’re looking OK
I put my 2nd run in yesterday too ![]()

Here’s to some good smoke dried properly
Took 6 days to get it to 58% RH in my 32 bottle DryDoc on the first run. Did not wait to cure further. Put in 5# Grove bag with sensor and it went to 70%. Opened Grove bag to allow more drying. Probably depends on size of the fridge and quantity placed inside for length of time needed.
Temp and humidity adjusting as it goes, I start mine at 66°/65% for 2 days then slowly drop both to 60/60. I also use a second hydrometer and thermometer inside my koolatron and adjust by that not the inkbird or temp on koolatron. By day 8 with 1/2 pound she is just about ready. Would be really good at day 10 for sure.
