Learn As We Grow

I have this little light in the house just for the first stage of the seedlings. It’s way too warm in my grow room right now so they live under that little burple light for now. I have the vivosun 6500. It worked quite well for me last year. I started out with a mars 600 then I got the mars 3000. Happy Growing :v:

Good morning retiredoldguy I am still in limbo with my grow. But I think it will take off soon. I hope you have a wonderful weekend :v:

They look kinda sad but they are going to be rocking soon :v:

They’re lookin good, in my experience when the top is not growing the bottom is. They’re building their roots and should take off soon. My only recommendation is to not water until the top half inch of dirt is dry. I’m the worst at over watering in solos, prolly why I stopped using them  I’ve killed so many little babies :grimacing:

Good evening Easy. Yes I agree it’s hard to believe that they don’t need watered. But I haven’t watered since before I dropped the seeds in but a couple of the cups were too wet to begin with. I have brought them in the house in a warm but not hot room but the humidity is low to me. It’s at 40% so I put the domes back on. I had another Gold Leaf peek out of the soil. Have a good evening my friend :v:

@Jaysittinback @Bonjoyle @merlin44 @Flitme @Dman1969 I am maintaining temp around 28 celsius, humidity between 90-95 , using a CFL bulb for germination and seedlings and using direct potting seed in soil around half a inch below but germination rates are bad and one of my seedlings died ofc today, it had a web around cotyledon around it, I am using soil made by me recipe is 10 kg of organic soil, 5 kg of vermicompost and 5 kg of perlite for seedlings, any suggestions would be helpful

What method are you using to germinate them?:v:

Direct pot seed in soil without paper towel

@elpatron Your planting your seeds too deep. They should only be a eighth of an inch deep. Make sure the soil isn’t packed too tight. I prefer mine just barely patted down. No more than Quarter inch deep. Was that a web or the membrane on the seed. A lot of time the membrane doesn’t want to come off and sometimes you have to remove it Be very careful when doin that. :v::call_me_hand:

The easiest way I have found is to soak them in water with a splash of h2o2 (peroxide) then into the wet paper towel. I have gotten lucky and had a couple do well going straight into the soil.:v:

I have been growing since may of ‘21. I have wanted an AC infinity inline fan and I ordered one yesterday. I am excited to see how much better it is than the one I have. Have a great day everyone :v::blush:

Saved my sanity and hearing.
Vivosun 6" screams like F14.
Not the AC-I A6,T6,or T8, all nice and quiet (below step 5).

You will be happy.
They have a video about electrical costs and possible savings.
I was happy and satisfied with the noise reduction.

I believe it will be great. I got the 6” with the controller. I have one of their 6” clip on fans that plugs in the controller to I’m guessing. :v::blush:

Vivosun is what I have now and you are right it does scream. And the speed control doesn’t really do much. :v: :slightly_smiling_face:

Here is a picture update of my babies. I have them in my closet with a mars hydro 600. I am keeping domes on them as our humidity is very low like 30%. We seem to be in a drought situation right now. Have a great day everyone :v:
