So a couple days ago (literally two or three)
I moved my plant from a 2x2 with a 100watt light (from the wall)
Into a 2x4 with a 250 to 300 watt light. Everything else is basically the same. Minus the scrog net I e since added. Anyways. Nornally I water/feed every two to three days. It’s been about two. The soil was drier then it nornally is after just two days. I’m going with the brighter light. Anyways. When I was in there today after work I watered. I noticed two leaves were slightly discolored. I. Training my plant I was using LST. Ive since built a scrog at one point this big leaf was indeed sitting in the soil for a couple days.
Also I just downloaded the photone I haven’t even got a chance to use it yet.
I checked my ppfd with the photone app. And it was around 550
Welcome to the community , overall plant looks good. If anything maybe a bit heavy on nitrogen. Keep up the good work !
You shouldnt be getting your leaves wet during lights on if youre going to mist it whatever. It causes leaf spots and invites powdery mildew. Your leaves are soaked in the middle. Try to make sure youre not soaking the plant in anyway especially when feeding if youre using nutrients.
The Photone app will not give an accurate reading until its calibrated to your specific light. So if you havent done that yet with the ppfd map from the lighting manufacturer then the readings are way off.
Other than that your grow is looking great
@Ebb I usually feed in the morning for this reason. Or I’ll pull the plant out for a little bit. Turn the light down or something. However I wasn’t expecting to feed tonight the new light is running a bit hotter and changing my routine. I’m still trying to get used to it. However tonight I worked late and had cornhole so I had to go. And didn’t want to leave the plant dry
This is what happens if your leaves get wet and touch soil and stays there. I did this on purpose btw for teaching purposes.
@Ebb I didn’t know about the AP and calibratingvit to your light. I thought you just had to put the type of light i.e led or what not. I will have to look up how to do that. Thank you
Type in the type of light you have and parr map or ppfd map and it should pull up a manufacturer spec for the lights output. It will have a specific height like 12" and a map that says how much ppfd you should be recieving in certain areas. Use the center number at 100% power and you adjust the calibration in the app to that number. When youre done it will be set to that map.
I get the water thing too. Just wanted to let you know that it can cause some major issues.
