I am taking the advice. Gonna get a big sleel trap this weekend. Maybe some big glue pads as well. And maybe a Bigfoot trap. Lol.
I’m trying over here. I never had any experience with a real lack rat. They are a handfull.
I’m a building a space for them as we sleak. I am still a few weeks out to having it finished. This should help.
I never dreamed the rat would eat through the tent.

This thing has cut huge holes in a tarp used to cover for a semi truck. If has cut through the tent. The reason i called it a pack rat.
The dogs have been on about something over under some tin over the close to the shed where the tenst are. Iguess i best move that pile of tin.

My brother a mole will chew threw concrete and ceramic tile. I know first hand. And I’m gonna bet it’s a mole because it’s taking branches from your plants, it’s building a den for babies using the vegetation from the branches, and has a deep hole under the tin or sheds. Mating season for moles has started or about to start for moles. You gonna have another 3-5 pups if you don’t catch her.
Would advise using peanut butter inside the trap they go crazy for it. Worked every time for me. Had a family of 7 moles under my house.

21° all night last night and i have two tents out there in the cold inside a tin shed that is unheated.
I was worried. I only have a heater in one tent.
I would like to comment on the tent with no heater. Just givin credit where credit is due.
This tent resides outside in the cold with no heater. It only had hanging a HLG 450 that I ran wide open. I open one small hole at the top and at the bottom of the tent for removing humidity via a draft.
I was amazed. This Marsh hydro 4x2 ran 69° as its low, humidity was 35 to 49 %. I was totally happy with its performance. I had no sweat on the walls at all.
My take, it has to be the mylar.
Sitting beside this tent i have a Vivison 2 1/2 X 5 tent with a 1500 watt heater. Just like the other tent i had two HLG 450s running on high. The high for this tent was about 52°. There was water dripping like rain in the tent, humidity ran about 88%.
My take on this, the mylar.
The Mars Hydro did perform well.. I’m happy with it. 89 bucks non the less.

They have had stable temps for about one week.
