Kind LED X2V2 controller?

Hi. I’ve been growing outdoors for several years and my situation will allow me to also grow indoors in a month or so. I recently purchased a 5x5 gorilla grow kit with the kind LED X2V2 light. Should be delivered this week. From what little I could find, I’ve read there is no controller for this light available. Does anyone have any experience with this light? How can I regulate the red spectrum during flower without a controller? Again, I’m new to the indoor world so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is no need to regulate red spectrum when quality lighting is used.

From what I understand, this light is designed to do exactly that. It has the ability to increase the red spectrum during flowering. And for the price it better be quality lighting!

I have no experience with the new X2 but have a 420X I’ve been running for 3 years and absolutely my best light. The separate IR/UV switch is perfect for mid-late flowering. I’ll put this light up against any one out there. Nice purchase Grow Bro, you won’t regret it :love_you_gesture:

In most cases you want the red portion during flower and maybe not so much in veg. But a good horticulture tuned light spectrum will grow nice plants from start to finish. According to their website, there are onboard dimmers to tune the light. They also have some propaganda about their light spectrum in comparison to everyone else. Hopefully you based your decision to buy on something else.

Thank you. I think that’s called advertising lol, but I guess you can call it propaganda too. Targeted spectrum lighting is a real thing. I’ll be sure to journal once I get rolling. Thanks again.

I’m aware it’s a real thing, but Samsung introduced this light spectrum in like 2019 with their horticulture modules. They put on that they are only ones to offer anything like this but it’s not really true. The fit and finish on these lights is very nice but having 2020 led tech at a price >$1000 and claiming its due to superior light spectrum is a little much in my opinion. So it’s more like false advertising, which is why I used propaganda.

Having built in tuning flexibility is pretty nifty and this should be a good light for you, so don’t fret like I’m saying otherwise. But there are lights available with similar light spectrum, more efficient, and cheaper.

Appreciate that. This light came as part of an overpriced kit, but whatever… When I use things every day (tools, audio/music equipment etc,), and I want them to last, I am the type to get the best that I can afford. It usually pays off.
