Keepin it Modest with Some FastBuds…

Thanks! I have 2 going rt now but mainly the one I think I may have screwed it up. It’s still so small. In the beginning I found out my grow lights were inadequate. Got better lights repotted and that was my 2nd mistake that I didn’t repot into final pot. So I will have to mess with that again. From what I just learned , autos don’t like that. I also was kinda slow on nutes too. I will post a updated pic when I get off. I think she might be a wrap and I will just put my energy into my youngest one. I ordered some Foop nutes for that one, just waiting for the arrival.

Yeah I found lights are probably the most important thing. Once you get those dialed in you’re gravy. What I’ve found is that autos don’t need as much nutes as photos. They can thrive on very little. I haven’t used foop but I’ve heard good things. Supposed to be all organic if I’m not mistaken which is awesome. As far as autos not liking repotting and stuff they can handle a bit. They might get slightly stunted from it since you’re not really in control of them like photos. With photos you can just veg them out another week. With autos you’re at the mercy of them.
But just keep dialing it all in and you’ll do great things. They’ll grow like…. Weeds!!! Haha

Could she still be getting adjusted to the light? Idk I mean definitely has made progress it just seems very slow conpared to other auto grows I see on this forum.

This one above entering wk 4 and the other one is entering wk 2

What are you thoughts? And @Lostgirl

Autos grow strange. They do what they want when they want. They look a little yellowish could just be your picture on my cheap Android phone

They look like they’re growing pretty healthy. They could maybe use a touch of nutrients to combat the yellowing that might be starting. Might need a bit of nitrogen to get them kicked into high gear. They aren’t stretching to get light so your light might be ok for now depending on what you got you may be able to get through the whole thing. Generally want around 150-200 watts per plant or 35-40 watts per ft2.
Like @Lostgirl says though they grow the way they want to. No way of really knowing how long they’ll veg for. Mine went quick because the 420 FastBuds genetics are super fast growing. That’s what LG was using on her most recent thread as well.

@Lostgirl yea there’s some leafs that are now a brighter green compared to the rest. Ok, hopefully adding more nitrogen will stop it from going into yellow. I have a viparspectra 240w, I was only supposed to be doing one plant at a time so I hope it’s enough for both. I have it at 75% rt now on a 18/6 schedule. When I tested it, it was around 690/700ppm. I checked out their site today too. If I can make it through without killing these :joy: I’m trying them. These seeds I got from ILGM.

ILGM genetics are solid. 420 just figured out a way to really speed them up. They should grow just fine under that light. I’d say you’ll probably be ok for the whole way. There might be a few larfy bits round the bottom but should be able to get some fine buds outta that.
Have you started a journal on here???

I made a post when i started a few wks ago and got a lot of good advice. I was going to use that post as my journal. I have to add photos for this week, I plan to do pics every week. Looking back I can see the progress and she was stretching in the beginning. I like reading yall journals, all the detailed info and different opinions. This is great because aside from here I have no one to ask questions thats actually been through the process. Then I would really be winging it.

Yeah this place is an amazing resource for sure. Aside from this I have a few buddies that grow and have picked up a few things here and there but nothing compares to the knowledge on this forum.

I’m still reading old journals, you learn a lot. My main criteria is the number of entries, if it’s over a thousand, It’s gonna be good!

For sure! I got so drawn into one I had to force myself to stop scrolling :joy:

I have done an absolutely terrible job of updating this. Work has been relentless. Here I thought I wasn’t gonna be working hardly any shows this spring and I’ve been working non-stop. Unfortunately the ladies have not gotten the attention they deserve. But I gotta say, these FastBuds are resilient. They have taken a bit of a beating and kept on pumping out some dank looking buds. Coated with resin and just kicking like champs!!! I’ve used up all my nutes and luckily I think we’re down to the last couple weeks so my plan sorta worked out. I think I may have lucked out and possibly gotten a Purple Lemonade based on looks and smell. No way to say for sure but I guess we’ll find out better after a smoke report. Anyways, not much to report. I’ve been late on watering a few times so the leaves are pretty bad on a few but the buds are what matters. And they are trucking just fine. I stopped paying any attention to PPM but have been PHing my water at least. So without further ado here are some glamour shots…

Looking good @ModestMoose67

I have three hardening off and one runt that is the replacement for the seedling that damped off. She came up a curly sue and has some catching up to do. They will all go outdoors for the summer. These are my mystery seeds, at least one is Apple Strudel.

Nice!!! Super excited to see what your outdoors bring!!! I threw one auto outside to see what may come from it. Figure after this haul I may take the summer off of indoors and give my energy bill a little rest. But super pumped to see your outdoor grow my guy!!!

Harvested one of the ladies. Got a pretty good idea this one might be Purple a lemonade based on the colors and smell. She’s dank!!! Probably a couple more days on two others and the shorties got another week or so I’d say. Here’s a couple harvest pics…

I started mine in Ocean Forest - and 2 weeks into flowering stage, I added a little bit of FF nutes to it. This medium seems to be amazing at keeping the levels where the plants are constantly happy.

Mmmmmm… its like an icecream cone… or a bud cone. LOVE IT!

@ModestMoose67

I haven’t heard from you for a spell. I hope that you haven’t floated away.

Looking good my dude!!! Haven’t floated too far away. But the summer is my busy season and I just haven’t had much time to check out the forum. Been working show after show after show. But I’ll be back soon as I get through the busy season!!!
