Good morning I just seen a link to this journal. A lot going on here with your minionās. What was your soil and is the white on your dirt perlite? I grow hydroponic style but interested in soil because I read that soil is the best for growing due to buds having better aroma.

I use Pro-Mix HP or Pro-Mix BX, depending on whatās available. They are the same but the HP has a lot more perlite in.
Yes it is.
1: Pro-Mix HP is considered hydroponic because it has no nutrients in it and you must add anything your plant would need to feed.
Itās also very easy to ācorrectā when things go south. Not as easy as hydroponics, but quite easy (or so Iāve heard).
And what Iāve read about aroma being better in soil pertains to āLiving soilā. All organic is supposed to give you better terpsā¦ But thatās a matter of debate. Iāve never done ārealā hydroponics, so I canāt really form an honest opinion. But I must say I love my Pro-Mix and the results I have with it.
I donāt grow for numbers, I donāt sell my harvests. Itās all for medication purpose and what I grow is so much better that what the dispensaries sells here, I donāt need much more than that!

I agree with @kaptain3d I grow in coco and itās considered hydro. And my results are much better in it than soil. Living soil is supposed to be better for flavor but I have had only one complaint about my weed. He said it was too potent. Iāll take that complaint any day.

Awesome thanks for the information I have used pro mix for tomatoes so Iām going to pop a few beans using both methods coco and pro mix separately and do some experiments. 8 days to retirement so Iām going to be a weed farmer now. I donāt sell mine either just take care of a couple friends and some family. Thanks again look forward to your grows. Iāll do a journal and copy you fellow growers so I can improve my skill. Next grow will be number 5

Pro-Mix and coco works the same, but you have to water a lot more often with coco.

Thatās why I use auto-pots. I only fill the Rez half full and have to refill every 3 or 4 days
But could go over a week if I filled it.

I grow hydroponic style ebb and flow system filling a 55 gallon drum every 7-10 days. 8 plants drink about 35 gallons a week. They are watered every 4 hours for 30 minutes. Itās much easier for me and so far less problems than soil. However Iām up for trying different grow methods. I just enjoy growing so much I guess.
