I wish there was a cheaper site to have your bud analyzed! Maybe that could be my next business venture LOL!!!
I was just looking at some test kits and Iām unclear how many time you can use them⦠but on the site, thereās some cool info and some good recipes!
Thanks @Caligurl much appreciated
I may have to rethink capsules to start off with Iāll see how these Gummies work out
Do any of you add anything like citric acid to your recipes to be able to keep them fresh longer?
I us a pipette to fill the caps, and after capping they go into a jar and then the fridge. They hold up well, although the last brand of gel caps didnāt seal as well as the first I got, and I had some leakage in my jar.
I used to think edibles didnt do anything to me either, til i made them right. The decarb process is probably the most important as its what actually makes you get high. Just a thought maybe you should make some wax, and try and use that to make your edibles. I did and had an amazing time.
Decarbing is key, but you could also incorporate some Lecithin (I use sunflower lecithin) to facilitate the absorbtion of THC⦠The lecithin helps the THC binds to the fat in your butter/oils, thus carrying moreā¦
At least thatās what I read, and I must say, it made a huge difference for me. Before that, edibles would take anywhere from 45 minutes to 8 hours before having any effectc on meā¦
45 minutes to 90 for me⦠never heard of 8 hours! Yikes! Iāve had people tell me edibles do nothing for them, then I give them some of mine and they always take too much LOL⦠I try to warn them
Yes, decarbing correctly is the key and Iāve heard the same thing about lecithin just havenāt tried it yet. I would want to do a side-by-side comparison and make 2 identical batches with one having lecithin.
I have also used lecithin, but i believe it was for some jolly rancher candies i tried to make. I remember it had a distinct after taste, that stayed on the tongue. Cant remember if i even new what decarbing was back then tho.
I have done the experiment and itās all true! I prefer sunflower to soya though. Both work itās about flavour and texture too for me. The effects are the same
