I lost a bunch of expensive seeds trying to germinate ilgm seeds before getting it right. Thank goodness they guarantee and replace. If you’re only doing a couple of seeds order a equal amount of rapid rooters. Soak the rapid rooters in water while you wait on your seed to crack. Soak your seed in a shot glass of warm tap water with a drops of regular peroxide. Hell im more excited about your pending grow than my ongoing or upcoming. Now that’s messed up. I think we’re all looking forward to it brother
I’ll be using seed pellets, the same concept as Rapid Rooters, purchased from A Pot For Pot, currently in transit to me, arriving Saturday morning via US Postal Service.
The seed did not germinate most likely due to several variables: I had sprinkled White Mycorrhizae and during germination the temperature was in the high seventies and mid eighties and was in daylight which, according to @James68 must be in darkness during germination.
Crazy how temperamental these things are. When I was a kid I could get a seed growing in anything. Now I have to read the instructions on stuff and then sometimes they still don’t take. It won’t be too long before you have you a NL auto growing like a weed and I look forward to it also
this is what I use here in Wales…but NEVER on seeds as it will probably fry the seeds.
A seed is in the soil and is shielded from all light by virtue of the soil …follow logic Mr Bergmans advice and wonderful things will happen
Hello @James68 -
Thank you for the link - took a quick glance and like what they have to offer.
Have to dash. . . to the market
Back to grains and steamed vegetables, miso, sea veggies, etc.
Look at it more thoroughly when I return.
Hope you’re having a good day.
Promises to be a nice day here with much sun. It’s early morning, a little after 8. Reckon it’s a little after one p.m. there in Wales. Sun’s not out yet. Sky is cloudy but will clear by ten or so. Just took Schizandra out into the garden for the day.
Sensing you garden vegetables and flowers too?
If it’s not too much of an imposition, will you tell me what the Welch country side is like. I know little of Wales but for reading, How Green was my Valley and the movies.
Scotland, Wales and Ireland , but specially Wales and Scotland, attracts me to that area. I’m sure it has to do with my other lives there influencing this life.
I may have told you this before . . . I live in a very quiet village of about two hundred people, more like a hamlet, actually. The village started out as a spiritual community during the summers back in the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s, 1915. The spiritual church still stands, used by a small group of psychics who do hands-on healing. My spirituality development is of a different bent and do not mix with them. Though I did attend one of their spiritual meetings, and that told me enough about them.
There is desolate area on the property where I live. I’ve decided to turn it into a Wildflower meadow. It was a little late in to summer to really start one when the idea struck me. But I did manage clear off the area of the invasive Japanese Knot Weed.
Vermont Flower Farm offers a variety of wild flower mix, wild grass, etc. specific to each part of the country.
I did manage to grow from seed about forty Hollyhocks of various colors, planted them close together, about eight inches apart.
Early next spring I’ll purchase several pounds of wild grass mix, wild flower mix, mix them together with sand so I’ll know where I’ve scattered them.
You’re probably wondering that I had said at the start of this post that I had to dash off to the market, but I’m still here writing . . . well, I just got back and noticed this post was still able to be edited. So I’m just adding a few paragraphs.
It’s now 10:22 a.m. just looked outside and the sun’s out in full force, nice and bright.
No, I’m in CA. You were posting red maple leaf emojis, so I thought Canada.
understood on the time management on 3 plants.
I just tracked my order for the seed pellet and says it was delivered at 7:58 this morning. Yesterday the tracking said Saturday delivery.
I’ll just dash off to the village post office where each villager has a box just outside the post office building.
Back in a flash. . .
Just got back . . .
Will set things up after a quick meal.
Sounds like a plan! And good of u to start a garden in that wild field. Im working on growing better grass in my yard. N have a few veggies scatterd out back. Hopefully this year i can get some flowers started over winter in my grow room n have em outside when spring rolls back around.
Looking forward to ur impending seedlings as well!
1300 hours: 1:00 p.m.
Distilled water at 98 degrees Fahrenheit
10% Hydrogen Peroxide added to distilled water
Citrine crystal skull
Auto Northern Lights Seed
Yep! Let the festivities begin. Nothing to it but to do it at this point.
knotweed ! it is a plague here, the Japanese use it for paper making and pickle the roots and eat them !
Wales is an interesting place to live but I am kinda off grid …but the nature is beyond compare and if the winter weather gets too weird here I hop a jet plane and head to the sun
Here is Priscilla Queen of the Desert and some picis of Pan-y-Fan which i see from home for you.
Great, just great . . .
I especially like the mountain landscape photo. It is the landscape I picture in my mind’s eye, and of expansive rolling moore’s. Does Wales have moores and a rocky terrain?
Thank you for the photos.
How many weeks and days is Priscilla?
Her leaves are a very nice, healthy green. She looks very healthy.
I sure would like to know of her progress along the way, especially when she starts to develop side branches.
Schizandra’s side branches have been in development past two weeks and still they are small. But her stalk is getting thicker and her top leaves gets larger each day.
She’ll start her seventh week this Monday.
I looked at the link you sent me more closely this morning. The video was well presented and gave me a clear understanding how their products are designed. You can buy Their products on Amazon, thank God.
They’ve sold me! I will order them next spring and this time I will be prepared and ready.
I will also be creating a Wildflower Meadow in a large area that has been desolate.
I purchased a quarter ounce each of Native Wild Grass seed Mix and Meadow Wildflower seed mix, mixed them together. The result is amazing. Just what I had in mind for the area intended.
BTW, saw that movie when it first showed . . . Terence Stamp was a riot. LOL!!!
I came across this bit of news this morning on my smartphone which I found amusing:
Seaside town’s high-tech anti-sex toilets will spray users with water
Violent movement sensors would automatically open the doors and sound high-pitched alarms, with fine water jets soaking the interior. Weight-sensitive floors would ensure only one user could be in a cubicle at a time, to safeguard against “inappropriate sexual activity and vandalism”.
Loos in Porthcawl, south Wales, will feature weight sensors and sound alarms to stop anti-social use.
Terence Stamp…there should be a strain named in his honour.
Have you seen him in Billy Budd ?
No I haven’t, and I haven’t read the book by Herman Melvile either. Have downloaded the ebook from Apple.
The movie is not available on Amazon Prime to view nor from Apple. The DVD is available for purchase from Amazon.
Will read the electronic book first.
Now, you’ve got my interest piqued. I read Peter Ustinov was great in that movie.
I am also. Perhaps not so much by choice, but by design. Don’t share the same values and view as the world at large. Sometimes I think I’m from a different star system along with a comparatively good few to try and elevate this world’s frequency.
Currently the world seems to have gone looney, but perhaps it’s a means to shake things up and awaken the masses, then a change for the better.
I think planet Earth, this universe, is but a mere speck and part of a grander design.
This morning when I inspected the seed pellet, I noticed the top was a bit dry. I remembered Pot For Pot had included a receptacle for the seed pellet pellet to sit in. It’s in two parts. The bottom is a reservoir for water that consistently keeps the seed pellet moist.
I’ll keep the seed pellet where it is till the seed germinates then place an 8 watt LED Grow Light above it.
They like it more… damp then wet. But im rooting for ya! Come on little lady. Lets see that smile!
