Thick shells need remeber they did thus and scuff lightly with sanppapper
Just a thought @Jbum, mabye they not planted deep enough, and they aint having and friction,they friction made by triyng to breack through the surface helps remove the shell, ive had issues but very rarely. Im more of a naturalist, i just make a hole,add seed and water for a few days till i see her pop out. i water directly were i planted seed, once it’s popped i water around the edged so roots can start expanding, good luck my friend.

All about the same depth but you would think the ones in coco would have that issue and neither of those two do. Just the ones in soil?

Piace a small piece of cotton from a qtip on top of the shell to get it saturated with water. I dont remeber if it was my rosemary seeds that had been giving me that problem but they are so small, that i in could use tweezers, so i did just what i mentioned above and problem solved, once again good luck buddy

Thanks for the tips! I was able to get most of the seeds off with tweezer in steps. I would just work a little at a time and come back later and repeat. The ones in the coco stretched on me so I had to remedy that! Lol here was my solution. Add a partial cup and more coco. Haha

My left plant was the runt shell was stuff on the top. I gently pulled it off. Then I must have over watered and it looked near death laying over. Then today it’s probably the healthier of both plants even tho it was behind. Even when soaking the seed it didn’t pop till days after the other.

Well I kicked the ladies outta the freezer suite for troubled seedlings. They are now in a foster tent with a LED I got for 25 bucks. And a small 2x2 tent for an additional 25. Figure I would try the light out and man does it spread some nice light in there lol. It’s tight because it’s actually a 2x2. Gonna snatch another one as these are new in the box and I think I am gonna take the drivers and strips out and just build a different frame.
What do you think for seedlings @dbrn32 check out the pics below. Light wise

Could not find any real specs on the strips themselves but I do believe they are either 3500k or 3000k. Also the driver has a dimmer input as well. Not that I should need it lol but for 25 bucks hell thought it wasn’t to bad.

Got the 2 tents for 80 bucks so I figured why not. Habit For Humanity has a tone of these lights I’m just gonna keep stalking them till the price drops low enough to by a few at a time and just steel the strips and drivers outta them. This was was a bit cheaper ATM so I figured I try it lol.

The more I read and get to quietly know u guys here the more impressed I am by a BIG majority of y’alls ingenuity and resourcefulness. I also realize how far behind I really am with this plant. I started in March and i have grown a weed like substance but that was for practice lol…keep it up @Jbum it’s good work you’re doing imo
