@Budbrother that is mine? So if it is starting to get bubbles then I am good I don’t need to do anything to it? Or should I make it thinner or is it good like it is?
That’s yours. You need to spread it out still. Makes alcohol escape easier the thinner it is. Then when you flip it, the partially trap bubbles get released.
I love popping the bubbles lol… it’s likE popping packing bubbles haha
@Budbrother okay yeah I noticed whenever I flip it the bottom side you can see the bubbles a little bit. So it’s not done until it turns into Swiss cheese??
Yeah that’s an indicator the trapped has been released.
Edit: You can speed it up by whipping it to get it out faster. I just didn’t wanna complicate things by recommending another step.
Okay well the way it’s looking now like it’s not going to be done for weeks LOL
Maybe you room temps are fighting croc pot on keep warm and you could flip it on low for an hour or two then back it down again to keep warm. May need to alternate for a while.
Edit: The thinner you spread the faster the purge.
@Budbrother yeah I believe my room temps are fighting it too. Okay so you’re saying to go with the Crock-Pot huh? Probably keep the lid off huh?
Yes I’d leave the lid off. Thought you were using already on keep warm. Thats why I said bump to low for a while. Since you’re just now using the crockpot to keep warm, should do the job and no need to alternate unless it isn’t working
Okay well yeah I still haven’t started with the Crock-Pot yet, I’m out working but will do it when I get home. It is still on the heating mat
@Budbrother hey bud I just made it home and did the freezer and the flip still on the heating mat. I washed out the Crock-Pot and was getting ready to cut it on but decided to Google what is the temperature get to on the keep warm setting and it said it gets I forgot what the f****** said 140 and 180° f. Is that okay or is that too high? Here is what it is looking like as of now on the heating mat. Let me know if I should still go with the Crock-Pot even though it gets to 140°. Thanks
@Budbrother okay so I’m about to make another batch. Just wanted to tell you the method I’m going to go about doing it with. I put cheesecloth over a solo cup for when I first take it out the freezer I could do a fast strain into the Solo cup and then I put double coffee filter on top of a mason jar that I was going to pour the Solo cup into
Light a candle and get busy ![]()
Well this round definitely came out a better golder looking color. Let’s see what happens here
And I got 2 already burning @Lightbrightt2010
Look at all the trash still after the second strain
Hey @Budbrother so I had it in the Crock-Pot all night and it looks like it is now doing something. I see how it is going to turn into Swiss cheese
I started a new batch and it looks way better and cleaner and golder
I have it sitting on the heating mat and put a fan Right above It blowing on it
Your within range with it on something to displace heat. It’s looking good and shouldn’t be long before you can ![]()
Cool, I’ll update you soon bud thanks
