Have you been using alot of ph up or down lately when watering? I’m dealing with some really poor water and I’m trying to figure out what is the best way I can deal with this crap. Or maybe not best way but weigh my different options

My tap is 112ppm and 7.0 ph. I run it through a rv filter and it is 21ppm and 7.0ph. I just run with it. Have you thought about a rain barrel? F tap water that way.

LoL rain what’s that? I live in the desert our average rainfall for a year is under 9 inches. I’ve got the water to an acceptable range to use but I’m definitely not happy with it. I might end up getting an ro setup and mixing it 50/50 with the tap water I just don’t know what I’d end up with. I’d be pretty pissed off to put out that money and end up back where I am now

Well never mind. Lol. I would just use ur tap water filtered and pHed. If you see problems then think about switchen up. I wouldn’t spend the money tell you knew your plants dislikeed regular tap.

Yep that’s where I’m at now I have the water running through 2 10x2.5 filters and I’m adding a pinch of vitamin C to remove the chlorine chloramine which in turn dropped the ph of the water, the problem with the water now is it’s running a TDS of 480ppm I think it was at 410ppm before the vitamin C though. Like I said it will work I’m just not happy with it

Thanks for health check brother! Went digging under my canopies and found some signs of Nute or PH issues or both. Did a PH check and it was 7.2, medium is soil. So that’s not extremely high but not what they were accustomed to getting at 6.5. Good thing I let the Reservoir get empty, adding PH water only for a few feedings. 1st Skittlez is showing some milky tricomes. About 40%. I have 4 of these growing and want to experiment with them when I harvest them at different times. I want some day smoke and some to knock my ass out at night. Maybe 20%, 40%, 75%, and full out all amber. Whats your’s or @Capt.Cola
Opinion or experience with the buzz and tricome percentages? 1st one getting the ax, maybe 1-2 weeks left.

I get that @OGIncognito .
Going way amber will reduce the flavor profile and make for a harsher hit but I did go, probably, 60% amber on some and don’t regret it.

Have you gotten a water report from the city? Some of that high ppm maybe useful.

And gobbs. Soon as I see amber I start my two weeks and then chop. I finish 10% maybe a little more

Thanks MoBilly Brother! Yep, I’ve got some I let go a little too long and hack and cough a little unless it’s just a nasty bong due to laziness :joy:

I’m with Jake I chop earlier than most people do at like 5-15% amber as long as there’s not alot of clear ones left

Yeah Jake that’s why I’m going to use it as is and just watch close, if I see anything I don’t like I’ll try another angle. 50/50 tap n bottle water or 50/50 distilled n tap possibly a ro water mix… Hopefully I’ll be ok how it is now I’m just OCD and don’t like the " maybe it will work bs " so I’m stressed lol

For my sativas I try and go with very little amber. Like @MeEasy i would say I’m earlier then most at no more the 10% amber. I have been trying to let my indica dominant plants go longer for more amber. The gdp’s will go to about 25% then into dark hopefully. It’s tough because a little too long and you get a harsher smoke but too soon you might not get the effects you want.

Bad damn news. One of the WWs hermed. I keep a close eye on my plants. Never saw nuts, sacks, or nanners. Hell never even pollen. This WW is covered up with seeds forming. The rest of the plants have some starting to form as well. I will NEVER grow free seedsman seeds again. I have had so much trouble out of seedsman free seeds. Low germ rate, mutation, slow growth, and now a herm. I will let them finish and harvest. Time to bring back old school, pick out the seeds. I am close to out from the previous grow so this will have to do. Dang it. Oh and I will have to super duper clean the tent and stuff in it.

I planted a GDP auto and an Alaskan Purple auto out doors next to my WW photo. I have been checking and something is still digging up my plants. This time I was able to get it back in the ground and save the AP. I also installed cages to stop the digging and use to train some. Hope they work.

Thats compost and mulch mixed around the plants. Feeds, keeps the ground moist, and cooler.

Sorry to hear this Jake.

Wow…that sucks. It’s interesting that you brought this up. I just grew some Seedsman seeds (that I paid for) and the Gelato auto hermied too.

I wish I could get some beans to you bro. I have more than I can grow legally and I will stick to their rules. It would take years for me to grow all I have.
