Don’t forget about the Silica laser reflecting disc placed during Apollo 11 mission. For precise laser guided measurements for the year round measure of the moons distances from earth. You don’t need much of a laser to bounce off it.

Since the universe is ever expanding then why do I read that there’s a 50% chance that M31 and the Milky Way will possibly merge forming ( Milkomeda) in roughly 10 billion years, not that it matters one way or the other.

Andromeda and the milky way are thought to be central and this is where the centrifugal merge is presumed.

I recall hearing of the Local Group, just never paid much thought to it. It’s nice learning something different other than , what’s your run off ph?

The local group exists within another cluster. The image mapped of known galaxies looks strikingly similar to the pattern of neural networks.
