Mix it evenly
Regular miracle grow potting soil with some extra perlite that was miracle grow aswell.
With general hydroponics trio used as supplemental nutrients after soil was depleted.
Those are about 2.5 gallon storage cube thingy they are grew in so victims they are not.
How exactly did they suffer in your opinion to make them victims
They was both great yeilding beautiful plants looking back at that journal from 2022, I got 5oz from each plant grew in less then 3 gallon containers.
Mix all up together
Iām happy you had a good experience with it. Most donāt, particularly among new growers.
Thank you
Iād say itās more new grower user error then the media used with enough drainage material added and proper watering techniques with a balanced synthetic nutrient you can grow in just about any bag soil, you should give it a try sometime, i think you may be surprisedā¦
Iāve seen too many problems with it over the years to try to grow in it.
Iāve heard of other growers using it successfully but the operative word would be āexperiencedā. It just adds difficulty to the grow which is usually not a good thing with a new grower.
Cant become experienced in anything if you donāt try and fail, if you get something that gives you a 100 success rate thatās a false mindset
I agree, BUT a new grower has elevendy-seven things to remember and in general are more ānervousā than an experienced grower.
I know for me itās just turned into another domestic chore to be dealt with in my day. Iāve structured my grow so that I donāt even look in on it daily but more like every other day. Iāve only got one plant going now and itās a pig: drinking almost 2 gallons of nutes a day.
Hereās my journal cued to this year:
Agree 100%
I just remember when i was new when people said stuff that made it seem like it was a hard yes or a hard no like you had to do this or you couldnāt do that or had to use this or absolutely couldnāt use that, made the experience extremely stressful.
Looking back itās my opinion its better to actually try and explain why things are better then others and how thereās so many variables at play and so many ways to navigate through.
In this example Iād say the soil is compatible and can be used, but there is absolutely better options.
Thatās the hole truth so the new grower can now have a more informed approach is all
Thank goodness for autopots is all i got to say about that
No way Iād be able to grow what i do and work if not for them. And the āoven bagā method for trimming.
I use a oven bag blew up like a balloon with the bud inside and shake like crazy till the nugs are clean and sift them out with a deep fryer basket ridiculously fast trimming but nugs have to be dense, doesnāt work good with fluffy buds.
Amen, brother: they are the chit!
We went with a 19" Vivosun bowl trimmer. Cut down the trim time from days to hours. My wife and I can do one plant in about 45 minutes.
The oven bag thing if buds are fairly dense I can solo a lb in less then an hour.
It does produce more trim material and some trichomes knocked off that otherwise wouldnāt be, but we make alot of considerates so itās not an issue as it just equals more considerate.
Trimming by hand Iād be lucky to do that in a day
No I understand well I had 4 months of a random seed drop grow so Iām intermediate level but like you said you were a beginner and didnāt have success so youāre just passing the knowledge, which I appreciate. I think Iām following your journal actually lol
There is always a better method but thatās why itās so many cause one doesnāt fit all.
Except Miracle Grow perlite, it has added nutes as well.
Amen. Same here. My goto starting soil is just unammended or lightly ammended organic potting soil. No time release. I then make it my own and reuse for years. Perlite/wormcastings/worms/some epsom and my dry ammendments/life. Cook a few weeks and plant. Living soil. Water only.
If touvstarted in miracle grow, tou canntry to very gently rinse the roots off and use some happy frog (fox farms) i mix equal parts together and add some coco coir ,and pearlite. Make a nice mix and replant the little seedling. Just mist to start, may need to put a dome over it for a week or so.
That soil grew great tomatoes in Japan, 2015-19.
Couldnāt take tomatoes or soil home to USA.
