This is my grow so far.

The larger plant is OG Kush photo, and the smaller one is of unknown genetics… i found the seed. So far it hasnt shown me its balls… so for now it stays. The larger og i just put to 12/12 light cycle to start flower in a 4x4 marshydro tent. I have 4 more that are germinating and will go in soil today.

Gotcha @OGIncognito @TheAbu95 you guys offer any assistance on the ocean forrest medium?

Thanks for the tag Brother. @Error_unknown of all the FF mediums I prefer the coco loco, but nothing wrong with the FFOF. Keep checking the run off PH, there’s been an lot issues with the FFOF and FFHF mediums and the ability to buffer the PH. You can water feed the plants for approximately 4-6 weeks with the Ocean Forrest until a nutrient routine is needed :love_you_gesture:

Yeah man I’ve ran Fox Farm before used Ocean Forest on my first grow and honestly it did great. Plants loved it, hardly had to do much early on. Only issue I ran into was consistency. The next bag I bought felt like a completely different product… way weaker. First run was hot and loaded, second one was like diet soil lol. Made it hard to dial things in because you don’t really know what you’re starting with unless you’re checking runoff PPM right out the gate. After dealing with that I switched over to Coast of Maine Bar Harbor Blend and haven’t looked back. I’ve run it the last 4–5 grows and it’s been way more consistent bag to bag. Just easier to manage overall and less guessing. Fox Farm will definitely grow good plants, no doubt but if you stick with it, I’d just keep an eye on how “hot” each bag is before you go full send on feeding.

A good friend of mine who is a mad scientist with this stuff said the same thing about ff soils. He told me to stay away from ocean forrest and stick with coco loco. Problem is he told me to late i had already purchased it. So i should be checking run off for the ph and ppm right of the go then? I will not be using nutrients on the first few weeks of flower then and be checking the run off.

Ive never had a problem with ocean forest being “too hot” and I use it for all of my plants, cannabis or otherwise. I amend it with garden tone before I use it with my veggies, and my current cannabis grow. If youre running into issues when you start to feed, it isnt that the soil is too hot its that youre feeding too much too fast imo.

@Johnny6 I will be giving it a go with the ffof. I have it and if i get good results with it I’ll continue use of the soil. I’m brand new to this so the only basis i have to go off of right now is others experiences with it. I will form my opinion on it after using it for a few plants.
