Indoor Autoflower Dwc, first time dwc AND Autoflower grower

No prob. You haven’t actually started this yet right? The veg time can actually vary depending on what you grow in. I would say you are more than likely looking at about a 14 week plant. Just going by one I did a little bit back. I will pull the folder for it to see what week I started flower. I am going to guess at about week 6 - 7. This was a pretty small plant. I think you may be better to just lst this one. It was grown in coco. Very few that I have grown that say 9 weeks start to finish are any where near there. I feed between 1/2 & 3/4 with GH nutes. Since you are in hydro. I would stay on the lighter side till you are sure they will take more. Since you have a rez full of nutes. Running stronger lights will allow you to feed a little heavier than with weaker ones too.

Here is a picture at week 13

oh sweet you did a gelato from fastbuds as well?! i have a few strains i plan on working through from them , Gorilla cookies, purple lemonade, orange sherbet, so this gelato auto has about a 5 to 6 week seedling/veg time? this dutch masters line seems nice so far, and my light setup has 2 mars hydro 600s and a mars hydro 1000, i have 3 supplemental cobs ill add that should bring my lighting to 96 actual watts per sq ft its a small tent 32" x 32" by 70", they say dwc done right gives some of the fastest veg growth so fingers crossed lol , thanks for the advice @Not2SureYet!!! ill def just LST this little one and so you know im just at the established seedling stage only first true set of leaves , only about 2 inches tall lol

If I remember right. I think it was from fastbuds. It looks like she may have been about 7 weeks veg. This was her here at 7 weeks. I hope to get a sherbet going some time next year.

I have been reading some posts in the Autoflower area with suggestions to flip the light schedule to 12/12. I am into about week 8 GDP auto (first grow) and stuck in pre-flower. Most of what I read states that auto’s don’t care about light schedules (why they are auto’s not photo’s) but some are suggesting to flip them anyways.

Your thoughts on light schedules and auto’s?

Thanks!

I am growing one on a 12/12 and another on a 13/11 right now. Normally I do a 16/8. They do well on about any thing. I would rather flower on the 16/8. But having photos in flower. They have to be on the 12/12. My 2 heaviest autos so far have been on the 12/12. I am just getting back to the Gas lantern schedule and the auto on it is really liking it. It did well for me when I had used it before. This whole grow other than the 2 autos in the grow room were on the 13/11 for veg. That is the up side for autos. They can be done on what ever light you can give

so you actually recieved a heavier yeild from a 12/12? i have a large photo flower room that i usually add a small sog bed to once i flip to flower just to pack anything i can on there, i avoided doing it with autos because i thought they’d hate the 12)12 but great! u just gave me an awesome new option

Yep, I still try to run a 16/8. But 12/12 works good.

So my little baby auto girl is an established seedling at this point but ive noticed a lighter green than i usually see of course i havent had a seedling in a couple grows ( mostly clones these last few runs) and a little discoloration on the first sets tips, their nit forming on new leaves so idk if its a fixed issue, i did lower the res as you mentioned and i also have my first established root in the res mix about 4" long here is a pic , my oh has stayed quite level i think in part due to the zone i ise for the sterile method , Ph has went from 5.6 to 5.75 through 4 days , im using proper lighting and my poms are as we’ve discussed around 250, we dod however have a 4 day heat spell which was very odd for this time of year and i put my ac away already so rhe res and the tent heated up to over any recommended temps , rez eas 81 at one point and tent was 83:((( i ventilated asap and fixed the issue for both but i was at work for 12 hours so it was stuck with those temps for half a day could it have been a temp issue that caused the tips turning and the light green color, my seedlings usually look healthier but this is my first dwc as you know so i have no personal comparisons

btw when can i start co2 enrichment for Autoflower any ideas? i have alot available and its a sealed unit only 32" x 32" x 71 so i could run co2 irs entire life ar 1500 ppms and it wouldn’t cost me maybe 10 bucks lol i love my job

The lighter green tells you she is healthy and growing. No idea for co2 @Covertgrower, @Myfriendis410

oh sweet! lol i guess i was a bit over nervous lol , so she looks good to you? from what ive read dwc starts out a little slower until some roots develop in the nutrient pool then it just blows up in veg

@Myfriendis410 is a great guide here. Or @TDubWilly

Doesn’t look to bad to me from what I can tell. Does it look perfect? Nah, but I rarely had a perfect plant in the seedling stage.

I would hand water those clay pebbles once a day to stimulate root growth in amongst the pebbles. Covering the pebbles in darkness will help stimulate root growth too.

More roots means more fruits

TDubWilly has it covered here. Only thing I can add is the lighter colored green in the middle is rapid growth.

Well said.

As to CO2: your setup should be set up with HIGH intensity lights to actually take advantage of CO2. You need to run almost double the photons which is an expense. You will also need some way to reject heat from the grow space without adulterating your high partial pressure environment.

Thanks all!! i will be handwatering one more time per day just to be safe, i have floraflex drip trays ill set on top of my pebbles, i have multiple lights that are set up now including side lighting i should have around 115 actual watts per sq foot , your right i am a bit worried about heat though

i have since covered my clay pellets and lowered my temps a bit i hover between the 74f to 78f and between 61% to 72% humidity, the growth is coming slower than my s.o.g seedlings in organic soil but different strains and their photoperiod so or isnt truly comparable, i am still wondering what has caused the dented leaves etc i just upgraded to a much better ph meter that will be here in about 6 days so we will find out if my ph isnt truly accurate, that heat spell seems to be the main antagonist i had tho ,

Any thoughts @TDubWilly @Covertgrower @peachfuzz @
