I'm a newbie! Please help me!

If the clay pebbles are too deep, the water won’t wick well.

When i ran my autopots the one time i did i didnt use any air dones stone or clay pebbles just canna coco one of the pots i had canna and perlite only itherwise i run mine just canna voco no perlite or a ything. Only perlite i use is if i reuse the one pot that had some perlite in it i fidnt see any differences between using it and not usung it so i didnt waste the xtra few bucks on perlite. Clay balls do spund like it could be an issue if too deep tho as only roots that hit the bottom do the drinking

After reading a short few minutes i see some people qho had too many clay pebbles and they used a stick and rammed a piece of wicking material old clean shirt or something down to the bottom of the pot along the side walls and thats what wicks up the wetnedd and spreads to the rootzone. Possibly a fix all i read say it works well enoigh without destroying a crop. Also hand feed from top for 1 to 3 week til roots r fully established. U might be able to cut the fabric pot qithout getting too deep into roots cut the bottom half off fill another pot half way or the amount of pebbles u lost leave soil or coco in the pot and put that ball ontop the new coco or soil and put it in and let it qork. Might have to hand water a bit til it all take and goea on its own just try not to get too feep into the root zone if u cut the pot and add to it. Me id start with a wicking material and a stick and ram it down the sidewalls of the pots all the way to bottom as the wick. Just dont leave any of the wick hang out the pot so it dont drip.off the wick on the floor and all i to the plant pot.

I’ll fix my pots next run. It’s okay I’ll do some extra work of hand watering or I can start with 2 autopts with new plants without the clay balls.

Let’s see I’ll post thing here.

Not to contradict Doc, I would never, lol! But I have grown exclusively in leca using Autopots and it went better than expected. Now, I did have to top water more at the beginning to ensure a good root structure was established. Like Doc says, if you have a few inches of leca it is likely due to poor wicking. I used more top watering to ensure the roots indeed got to the bottom when in leca.
And btw, the strain I tried this with was blackberry tarts, by guess who? Lol!

Now I’m confused again.

But I can’t find any other reason tbh.
Water flows in the tray 100%.
There is not much in autopots other than the water should flow in the tray.

If it doesn’t work I’ll hand water again. :sob::joy::rofl:

Yeah bro watering fixed it in 2-3 days.

Can’t wait to smoke them.

This was one of them struggling and it looks so beautiful now. Humboldt got something in them. It’s like really classic the way growth is going. Spacing between nugs is top notch. Something really new for me.

Was it too much Clay pebbles?

I’m hand watering from the top.

For that I’ll have to set up new autopots. Can’t go to the bottom of the pot at this stage.

I do have spare autopots so I’ll try really soon.
