Love the setup man!
I use the full line of Advanced Nutrients plus their Cal/Mag. I mix the nutes at 50% of the chart for the first week or two, depending on how the seedings are reacting. After that I go to 100%.
I know people will say 100% isnāt necessary and Iām probably wasting some nutes. However, I calculated my grow cost and as long as I get 3 ounces (not a problem) the nutes and consumables (including seed and electricity)pay for themselves (based on local dispensary prices for premium weed).
I use RO water.
I mix up a batch of 50% nutes to makeup to the res.
Iāve been doing this for three grows (RDWC). Since I started this schedule I havenāt even checked my pH. I monitor EC and take action based on the EC and water level trends.
The AN base nutrients are buffered (pH Perfect they call it). I was doing more damage than good trying to chase pH. I finally called AN and had a great discussion with the rep. He told me I donāt have to worry about pH. I was sceptical but it works.
thank you very much I do appreciate the help Iām doing soil for 2 plants I have now but are not growing fast enough so I decided too set up hydroponic system do I need too get Epson salt for it also ???
Epsom provides magnesium and sulfur, though some growers havenāt found it necessary. Jacks recommends Epsom, so I use it.
cool Iām going too order some now is distilled water ok too use also ??? and thank you again for the help with finding the right nutrients
Yes. Distilled is a good thing to use.
I do not use Epsom salts. Big Bud, Bud Candy, and Sensi Grow contain these elements.
I have used Jackās 321 for the last year. Itās cost effective and it works well enough for me. It takes more effort than liquid additives since it must be dissolved with lots of agitation.
I used the Advanced Nutrient line when I first started. They worked great. But they were pricey.
Once my Jacks is gone I am going to try the flora line of products. Iām a chemist, but even I get tired of bench work over time.
