Hydroponic nutrients

Love the setup man!

I use the full line of Advanced Nutrients plus their Cal/Mag. I mix the nutes at 50% of the chart for the first week or two, depending on how the seedings are reacting. After that I go to 100%.

I know people will say 100% isnā€™t necessary and Iā€™m probably wasting some nutes. However, I calculated my grow cost and as long as I get 3 ounces (not a problem) the nutes and consumables (including seed and electricity)pay for themselves (based on local dispensary prices for premium weed).

I use RO water.

I mix up a batch of 50% nutes to makeup to the res.

Iā€™ve been doing this for three grows (RDWC). Since I started this schedule I havenā€™t even checked my pH. I monitor EC and take action based on the EC and water level trends.

The AN base nutrients are buffered (pH Perfect they call it). I was doing more damage than good trying to chase pH. I finally called AN and had a great discussion with the rep. He told me I donā€™t have to worry about pH. I was sceptical but it works.

thank you very much I do appreciate the help Iā€™m doing soil for 2 plants I have now but are not growing fast enough so I decided too set up hydroponic system do I need too get Epson salt for it also ???

Epsom provides magnesium and sulfur, though some growers havenā€™t found it necessary. Jacks recommends Epsom, so I use it.

Yes. Distilled is a good thing to use.

I do not use Epsom salts. Big Bud, Bud Candy, and Sensi Grow contain these elements.

I have used Jackā€™s 321 for the last year. Itā€™s cost effective and it works well enough for me. It takes more effort than liquid additives since it must be dissolved with lots of agitation.

I used the Advanced Nutrient line when I first started. They worked great. But they were pricey.

Once my Jacks is gone I am going to try the flora line of products. Iā€™m a chemist, but even I get tired of bench work over time.
