I saw porcupine-like hairs that formed on Aug 17 so that’s about 6 weeks and 6 days. Had to do some research again to reassure how long it would take till harvest. I say about 2-3 weeks at least as I suddenly started noticing her bulking up. I just fed her last meal and believe I should start using only water and ph till harvest (flushing).
On another note, has anyone tried ice flushing before harvesting? This is something new to me I noticed. Same with the 48hrs of darkness.
Yes. No meaningful effect.
Has the benefit of reducing active chlorophyll in the leaves - in total darkness there’s no photosynthesis happening, so the thought really is that when you harvest, you’ll be avoiding the grass or hay smell that happens during the dry. Well, not eliminating it entirely but very likely reducing the stink.
2-3 weeks from where you’re at is probably exactly right. She’s bulking now and has more to go.
I would not experiment with that plant. Holy cow…it is completely triched out. I would add a bit of Molasses to your plain water for these last couple of weeks. Very beautiful grow!!
Thanks! Yeah I noticed the trichome production on her was immense. Must be good genetics! Is there any particular type of molasses I should be aware of for plants in particular? And do you feed molasses with every watering?
Blackstrap unsulphered. I give it occasionally throughout the grow but in the last few weeks, I give it to her every other watering.
Awesome thanks! Giving that article a read now. I bought plantation backstrap unsulfered molasses on Amazon just now. Should get it on Friday!
