How long do I keep seedlings in the dark?

The plant … I don’t know much about the light I only use those in my ceiling fans

If I recall soft white is great for veg but anything would work on that plant right now

That’s a fine-looking Seedling ! …just do what your doing, it looks good

you can put it out in the light maybe half a day, if it had 4 hours direct sun you can probably double that tomorrow.

if you are around just keep an eye on it make sure it doesn’t dry out but don’t drowned it either, just keep doing what you doing it looks good

Right about there they stop growing for a week or ten days but they’re growing like crazy at the Roots so you might not notice much growth for a while

Thank you so much😀 I’m going to put it outside in the morning. Thanks for telling me about the slow growth I would of been obsessing over it.

Ya think ? :seedling: :anguished:

Seriously, sometimes the less the better ! …just keep it moist (but don’t drown it),

you can double sun daily and they could be in full sun in just 2 or 3 days.
-best wishes!

Btw, see how quick it greened up? That’s why you don’t keep seedlings in the dark: Seeds yes, but seedlings never !

Hello Duke.

I’ve never tried to delete anything but try to edit your post from the pencil icon.

Your pictures are showing a plant in pre-flower. I’m not sure how many days that stage lasts as I really haven’t learned to count the stages yet.

For your light, somewhere here is a chart for light wavelengths.packaging will usually specify what spectrum the light emits. I qualify this by letting you know I am strictly outdoor. I also am learning about lights in an attempt to extend my grow seasons.

Good luck and hope that helps.

not enough info on the bulb, kinda looks like a GE flood lite, possible plant lite.
You want to put a Hydroponic Full Spectrum CFL grow light 60 watt bulb in that lamp, lots of stores have them for about ten bucks, At least a CFL 60-65 watts find them every where. Keep the light 4-5 inches over the plant and adjust accordingly by placing a book or something under the plant to raise it or lower it, Put it in a box lined with white paper.
That should help start an easy grow, very basic, also use a spray mister bottle for watering just enough to get the soil wet.
Keep it inside for 3-4 weeks before putting it out side. It will be a lot stronger, get some bug and mite spray also preferably organic, any Lowes has that.
Hope that helps a little.

I’m back with another question? I planted this seedling 24 days ago. I have it outside all day and by a window at night. Why is it not growing? I now Paranorman said it will grow slow!! Is this to slow. I do have a CFL light 150 watt soft white should I leave it under that instead outside?

Also I came home to find that one of the leaves it’s born with is gone!!! Does that matter the other one looks yellow.

Idk sorry but interested to hear any thoughts. Looks four days old

those round leaves always fall off…they are just there to store food for your girl for her first few weeks of life.
She has been building up her root base the past couple weeks and should be ready to start stacking on some leaves… if she has a light breeze on her, she will thicken up in the stalk which will help her to be stronger and stay upright when she is covered in huge sticky buds

actually looks to me like it needs more light intensity…and being an auto I would transplant it into its final pot.

You would transplant that now? Even though it only had 4 true leaves

I’m going to keep it under the light. How long should I keep it under the light for 24/7?

I know new growers are a pain in the ars with questions but I can’t find the answer to my question out there😩 I have a seedling that sprouted on the 16th of August and it still looks like this!!! Is this normal? It looks really healthy to me but not sure. Thanks for any feed back.
