@Budbrother I ended up offering the company $500…they countered for 560…I took it.
I checked into pricing for the rent a Mac…as things add up quickly…and I am pretty obsessive compulsive when coding, troubleshooting anything, and designing/engineering..I found that my usage would add up very quick…that ultimately put me in a buy or not do it…I bought…sooo
All of you Apple friends out there…I will soon be needing beta testers for Apple iOS Hortus app.
@Growmoredank
This is so exciting! I will definitely play around and test it out for you
Thinking of ways to help counter the costs you’re putting into this - that wouldn’t seem extreme to an average user:
Maybe make some of the features add-ons that you can charge extra for?
Or offer it free for 30 days and a small subscription fee after that?
Maybe you already have that all figured out, just thinking out loud
I am planning a sale the week of February 12th…my birthday for $0.99.
After, I may change the price from $4.99 to $1.99 permanently.
I need more sales…more word of mouth…and some app reviews…beta tester reviews only come to me…production reviews go to the world. Don’t have any production reviews yet.
It’s been a bad morning…the 69 pro connection app project got corrupted over night…working to get it recovered… probably have to go back to an older update and start working my way back to the progress I made.
I just released the latest huge update to production yesterday… I believe.
Version 33.
Let me know what you think…please make sure to let me know if you have any issues… Each app has it’s own backup and recovery for now… eventually I will have it all in one place, but needed to do a transition so you all don’t loose data.
I hope you have a wonderful day and the build is going well!
I have a question for all that have a 69 pro controller…
I have taken a break after the corruption of my project…I was able to get it most of the way back before the issue…
Question…do we need a whole chart thing for the Ac infinity 69pro controllers or do we simply need to connect to get the information into Hortus for calculating and note taking?
What I am thinking…instead of trying to basically recreate a version of the ac infinity apps charts into Hortus…why not implement a setting that asks “enable a 69 pro controller data?”
Then have my scan screen where you select which are your controllers…then after that readings can be brought directly into the Vpd Calculators input boxes…rather than typing them…we are still connecting and collecting “now” data and leave the line chart to ac infinitys app.
What do you all think? Is this necessary? Helpful? Useful? Opinions would be appreciated before I jump back in.
Point is…I already figured it out…what should I do with it?
The line chart isn’t a necessity for me personally but just being able to pull the numbers (temp, humidity, vpd) from the apps is what would be the most helpful.
I’ll probably integrate the ac infinity into it without the charts… as I said… I may try to find a way to add Govee hygrometers.
Oddly enough about the Vpd readings from the ac infinity I may have forgotten to mention…
I cannot seem to pull the Vpd numbers…so my guess is either I am not looking in the correct place or more likely…they just use the current air temp, current RH and user set leaf offset to calculate the Vpd. So I was showing my calculations of the leaf Vpd in the last ACI scanner chart app thingy videos I posted…not the Vpd that is broadcast. So I only used the broadcast temp and humidity…the temp is broadcast in Celsius…so for those of us using Fahrenheit…I had to convert it back…hence the temp type setting in the settings.
Govee would be great too, a lot of ppl use them (me included).
I assume ACI 69 Pro does the calculations itself to get the VPD like you said - we have to put in the leaf numbers, etc. for it to calculate properly. Not sure if that’s something that can be automatically pulled.
