Hop along to Hopalong's indoor growings

I don’t run auto like that. They’re easily stressed to hermie, so I wouldn’t increase again. I run them 12/12 once flowering. Only so much light can be processed, and the rest is wasted power.

I have normally run them at 18/6. This round I went for 24/0 for the first 2-3 weeks just to keep the conditions as stable as possible, then swithced to 20/4.

Maybe I’ll switch to 18/6 and keep it there until the end.

Guava Rf3. She is growing “duck feet”. Do I remember correctly that this is because of some environmental or nutritional issue?

Or is it just a quirky phenotype?

Day 36 and 26 for the smaller one, they look happy on the trays!

4x4 filling up!!

Day 40 and 30, would be quite difficult to fit a fifth plant here…

Did some cleaning up of lowers and defoliation on the older plants, the smaller is starting the stretch so I let her be until I come back fron Spain in a couple of weeks.

Also had to MacGyver the heater away from the floor because I don’t want to return from the trip and find my plants grown into it. Already had one crispy leaf tip…

The Old School Blues looks impressive, not much leaves blocking the light, good node spacing and tons of buds forming!!

Also I have to add that the automatic watering is truly a gamechanger. No öore stress of having to water the plants every two or three days no matter what, no more droopy plants because of under/overwatering, dry spots etc.. just a couple of top dresses, a little calmag into the reservoir and rock on!

Any signs of overwatering and I just put a riser under the pot and let it dry. Every once in a while close the valves for a bit of a dry back. Very smooth sailing and the plants seem to enjoy it.

So far this is my absolute best autoflower run, so keeping fingers crossed it will finish in similar fashion.

@Beard-O here is my journal just in case you might find it interesting…

Here are the FastBuds on their day 24. So far no hairs yet so it looks like I haven’t managed to get any of them angry at me..

Also growth seem relatively ok, I’d be thrilled if this tent would get as full as the 4x4!

I guess I have a busy day tomorrow clearing this jugle and trying to make sense of this mess.. Specially the FB tent, they are still stretching!

Major cleanup on the lowers and also removed the biggest fan leaves from the center part of the canopy.

Not much difference from above but the undercanopy looks good. Massive stalks on the Mephistos!

I guess I have succesfully solved the mystery I had In my mind, if the wicking bases and Tray2grows work well with soil instead of coco.

I did mix more perlite into the bottom half of the pots to make the water travel up easier and whether it’s because of that or not, the soil is moist all the way to the top.

I’m giving them a little dry back now, and top dressed the FastBuds with their bloom powder.

I keep trying different ways to manage the plants and I did wonder why my plants always stayed very squat and didn’t want to stretch upwards very much. This time my approach was just to leaf tuck until the plants were quite big and then make one bend on the stem. That seems to have worked, the fastbuds are tall and their branches are reaching top canopy on the most part. My only worry is their stretch, I hope they’d stop it already lol… the tent filled up and my light is only 300W…

This will great for those in soil. I always thought soil needed to dry out a bit between feeds. Your plants show as well as any in coco. :+1:

@Not2SureYet thank you, they sure are growing at much higher pace than when I was hand watering…

I hope It doesn’t get TOO crowded in the smaller tent…

Tent still filling up! I may have to raise the heater again, or place it uder the canopy and direct a fan on it…

Maybe that would help with the spiking humidity, it’s running around 70% at the moment. Any opinions?

I started to keep the tents partially open during lights on which keeps the rH at aroynd 65%.

Fastbuds are still stretching except Tropicana Cookies which is ahead of others. She is the tallest too so the tops are more or less at the same level now.

Waiting game with the Mephistos. I will do one more major defoliation here to let more light and air on as many bud sites as possible(and there are MANY believe you me)… At which point would that have to be done not to affect the bud production negatively?

@Budbrother @Low @SausageMahoney any tips..?

Looking fantastic brother :ok_hand: :innocent: Hope you are doing well my friend

“Usually” defoliation is done every 21 days after day 1 of flowering. It divides the flowering times in 3 parts. So day 21 you do one, if needed, 3 weeks to recuperate, day 42 do another and then you’re good to the finish.

Defoliation should be done mainly to promote airflow and help keep a good RH. Only take off what you can’t tuck away and your planties won’t even miss a beat.

Agree w @kaptain3d . I pull everything below canopy a few weeks into flower. Then again at the end. As flowering ends I pull anything yellowish or popcorn buds that are below main canopy.

This was defoliated underneath at 3 weeks. Buds and all. Any little branches that cant get light by tucking, I remove.
Same plant from above
