oh man. We closed an hour early on Wednesday when the snow came down and the roads started icing up. No one went anywhere at all yesterday.
Today I dealt with the aftermath of everything that had been frozen. One of my diaphragm pumps was clogged, and I ended up snaking the entire drain system because - clay doesn’t like to freeze! Turns into a giant glop of hard goop inside anything. Like… settling tanks, drain hoses, pipes…
It’s the black ice that gets ppl here. Last year we had a 100car pile up on I35 you can look it up on YouTube it was like 15 min from my house.
Yup. 20 car pile up on the west side of town on Wednesday night.
All it takes is one person that is careless

It’s the people who THINK they can drive on it just fine that are the problem.
Good thing we only had snow for 2 days here. It’s all gone now.
We’ve got some parking lot piles left too. That’s about it. It was plenty cold this weekend though.
20s at night and maybe hit the low 50s during the days. Most days upper 40s for the last week.
I love playing in the snow, tubing, skiing, sledding hell, even hiking.
But i don’t like cold just being so damn cold!
At least give me a reason for it - like snow! LOL!
I want a deep snow so I can build an igloo! LOL!
